Wow, Valverde 5th. Wasted too much energy on the previous days or does his form just don't hold up on such a TT?
Someone might have a different opinion, but I was always of the thought that Valverde needed more time on Kwiatkowski going in to the individual time trial.
Watching on British eurosport: Kwiatkowski, Kwiatkowski, Kwiatkowski, Kwiatkowski, Kwiatkowski, Kwiatkowski... Spilak loses only one second. I guess this football manager generation is spreading from internet to TV.

He looks like a future GT winner. Hope it does not turn out like Van Gardener for him.

So? I'm a big fan of him. But that doesn't make Spilak lesser rider, especially if he produces result like that.

Well more time is always welcome, but given the course & his recent form I thought he'd manage to hold on to the podium. The gaps have never been big though so I suppose that it's easy to lose several places GC. Wondering, was this actually Valverde's first time trial or did he ride one in March?

Longest and hilliest individual time trial he has ridden so far I do believe. The short prologues\ITTs of the Dubai Tour and Ruta Del Sol cannot really compare to this.
