STAGE 11: Schifflange - Differdange 179 KM

Stage Favourites:
*****Serpa(CAR) ****Clarke(BLU) ***Szymd(IBA)
**Sella(ALC) *Cummings(SAH)

Luxembourg, yes it can only be stage 11. A tricky last 20 kilometres sees us tackle the same steep 1 kilometre climb 3 times, the race will be animated.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/1_zps442f97a9.jpg

Get it up.

Ciolek picks himself up after falling early on, he would suffer though and be dropped fairly early on. 4 riders make the break today they are, Appleby, Lobato, B Schierlinckx and Muravyev.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/2_zpsa2c993ad.jpg

Atapuma again!

With 110 kilometres to go and the break at 2'30 the Colombian stage winner attacks, 20 kilometres later Semen Indonesia join the fray by sending Rodriguez on the attack.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/3_zps61aac33c.jpg

3 more join in!

Davis leads Quinziato and Saramotins as they attack with 65 kilometres to go. If these strong riders can bridge across to the break then the peloton will have some trouble bringing them back.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/5_zpsa9febba7.jpg

The Action Packed Final 30 KM is Almost Upon us.

With 37 kilometres to go all the break have merged together and have 4'20 over the peloton led by an amalgamation of teams. Only Lemoine from the top 20 is absent from the large peloton.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/6_zps628f04a5.jpg

The Hills are Here!

With 22 kilometres to go the break have over 3'20 and will likely fight out the win, nevertheless the GC men will attack each other.

Paulinho puts in a great attack, Konig decides against going with the Portuguese after initially looking willing. Paulinho will soon be caught by the rampant peloton.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/7_zps289e53e6.jpg

Jaw Dropping Attacks!

The break will fight out the win ... and they know it. With 16 km to go Atapuma puts in a big stinging attack. Only two riders can go with this they are Quinziato and Muravyev.

On the same stretch of road Serpa, Cummings and Paulinho, again, attack themselves .... but the quality peloton won't let them get away.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/8_zpsbd81b95b.jpg

After countering Atapuma ..... Quinziato and Muravyev put in massive attacks themselves. Huge ones! Even Atapuma, who has dropped dozens of riders in this race, can't go with this move so you know it is a good move.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/9_zps45aabefd.jpg

Sella attacks!

With 10 km to go Sella puts in a big attack, favourites respond. Tschopp and the red jersey Szymd go with this one ..... the rest of the favourites slow up wondering who will go and chase down this move.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/10_zps68cdebc6.jpg

Over the last climb with 6 km to go....

Quinziato distances Muravyev!

The Italian gets a bike length then two then three over the top of the final climb. Muravev is the better sprinter but can he get on terms? On the descent he pulls a second back but then loses one, can Quinziato hold on?

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/11_zps9173ef2b.jpg

Come fly with me! AVIVA WIN!

Quinziato holds off the Kazakh to keep the streak alive. Now 11 different teams have a win in 11 stages, unprecedented. This has to be a record! Well done to the Italian, he was clearly on a good day today. Muravyev does comes home in second, dejected and tired after his super efforts. It seems 7up only know how to finish 1st or 2nd when they show up in the top 10.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/12_zps67b3ce32.jpg

GC Shake up!

Rodriguez leads a 10 man group home, a good stage for Semen. Tschopp, Sella and Szymd are rewarded with their attack today, they gain '50 over all of the other GC men today. Exactly the kind of result needed for these riders if they want to win the GC.

Somehow we've ended up with 6 of our riders within 5 minutes of each other one GC, If onnly the first of them was leading, instead he's nearly 27 minutes down, so much for any hopes of a decent GC placing from someone.

On the other hand it's good to see that it's free'd up the team to be more attacking, with Marayev getting a second place on today's stage proving his crash the other day is no longer effecting him, hopefully we can continue this attaking momentum and become the first team to take a second stage.

De Weert's name is never mentionned.

He just sit there and loose time everyday.

He has to react or he will be ejected from the Top 10.

Tschopp is doing great so far Shock

- Shonak - He probably could have got a gap to the others, he just went with the wrong move. Smile

- Sutty - Interesting you celebrate a 10TH place but not the win on stage 10 ..........

- sammyt93 - Nice summary for 7up. Wink

- duxili - We are yet to have anyone abandon! I can't go through the names of every rider. I won't mention a favourite unless they do something or they are dropped, De Weert is always neither. Wink
