The Night of the Camembert - Part III I sat down at the kitchen table. It was pretty cold in the house, so my sister gave me a blanket.
"Why don't you tell me what happened?"
Sigh... "All right..."
While pouring myself a drink, I started to tell her everything. Better start at the beginning, I thought.
"So I called a cab to take me to Place Clemenceau. No problem, the cab arrives. I get in and get going, right?"
She nods.
"Problem is... When I dressed for meeting her, I put on another pair of pants from the one I was wearing before the race. So I kind of didn't have my wallet with me..."
At around 20:30, already half an hour late, I was at the police station.
Sorry for not reporting on stage 4, but nothing big happened. I didn't find the time to blog yesterday, since I had a random doping controle. Well, at least it wasn't 6am this time. They're getting better.
 Giro del Trentino - Stage 5
The Race Italy reminds me of France. The mountains are a big steeper, though. Lovely view this time of the year.
Having the time to enjoy the view is for suckers who want to finish last. I want to win. The pace is set by Radioschack and was hard, very hard. I was paying attention and was good at the front.
Early on in the climb, as promised, I attacked. All or nothing! I'd rather have a 15th place when I know I tried going for the win than doing nothing and finishing 10th!
One man walker over me like I was a small annoyance, Andy Schleck. I didn't let it get to me. I was riding for every second to gain as much places as possible now!
It came down to a sprint for place 4 with Scarponi!
Yes! I won the sprint. I finish 4th, now all that was left was counting the seconds and wait for my competitors to come in...

Analysis & Daily Thoughts This was good. After two terrible days, being minutes from the leader, I fought my way into the top 10 and even to a 7th place. I'm stronger than ever, mentally, and physically I'm growing stronger, too!
I know it's still far in the future, but I really hope we get that Vuelta wildcard, I can't wait to ride my first Grand Tour!
To finish this Giro del Trentino, a nice little story:
So I came in 4th. Just as I entered the finish zone, Andy Schleck was rounding off an interview. I stopped and offered him my congratulations, he had done more than a great job here. He told me something that I'll never forget: "Nice riding, today. Maybe one day we'll be racing alongside each other, I could use a guy like you."
I consider that a great compliment from a great guy.

Keep dreaming, Andy. In a few years Henry could use a guy like you as a his domestique though. 
But honestly, if Henry would sign with a World Tour Team like Radioshack that would be quite great, although I don't see anything wrong with staying at Citigroup for this or next season.
Looking forward to next part of Night of the Camembert too. Nice read and smart way of telling the story & race reports.

And then she was off, what a strange exit. Didn't bother me that much. I decided to play one more FIFA game and then go to sleep.
I turned on my ps3 and loaded the game. Took way too long again, but I waited. Then I remembered, oh right, the final match of the season!
I played against Aston Villa with Everton. I was 2 points ahead of Manchester City, who were playing Chelsea on the final match day. I needed a draw or a win to become champion, unless City would lose, of course.
The final whistle blew: Aston Villa 0 - 0 Everton
I quickly advance through the player ratings to the menu. I look for one name... Manchester City 1 - 2 Chelsea.

The Race This was my debut in Germany. In the end, we set up a sprint train for 19 year old Zabel. I was right behind him as a buffer. I was hoping for a top 10 myself, to gather some more points in the Continental Rankings, where I'm still leading!
Our sprint train was quite good and Zabel was on his way to win his first of the season, but Boivin overtook him on the line!

Analysis & Daily Thoughts Liège - Bastogne - Liège put the entire team back with our feet on the ground. It proved we are not ready to participate in the World Tour. We all need time to develop our talents more. The team management has seen this, too. On the team site, they edited the "goals & objectives" page. It now reads: 'We hope to promote to World Tour within three years'. Which isn't bad, I think. We shouldn't move too fast. Though I really hope we'd get more wildcards next season...
My calendar changed a bit. They decided to not let me start in Asturias, but to make me lead the Tour of California! It's certainly a great opportunity and I will grab it with both hands. I'm flying out to the United States tomorrow, actually. It'll be my first trip to another continent!
