@ Mre - Thanks. To be honest, I wasn't paying too much attention either, its more that the field is so small, and my riders are the ones making the train for Hunal and still finishing pretty high up I mean after the 5th stage I started trying to keep 3 riders in good position to win the Team award, and its nice to have them in great GC spots as well!
@ Pelli - Thanks. You're right If only that was an .HC race and we'd be getting more than ~200 Continental points total from this race (Although that puts us in a good spot still)
@ Jesleyh - That is a safe statement indeed
@ baia - Thanks. I do love bananas
@ papi - Well, how did you know? I was thinking no way Im in the Top 30 as I read this comment, but I checked again in the ranking and were 28th
@ wogsrus - Thank you! I'd have lucky as one of the words too
@ sutty - Yep. We'll be coming back next year for sure

@ welker - Thanks
Tallinn - Tartu GP (1.1)
May 26th, 2013
We dont expect to be getting any sort of result here, as the amount of strong riders is a lot higher, and with the larger peloton, it will be hard to salvage anything from this race! Its a 1.1 so there is more incentive to perform well from everyone.
During the day, a break of 2 riders gets clear. However, they are returned to the peloton rather early in the day, with 25km to go. With just over 10km to go, a few riders attack, including Dolezal who follows the move in case it does prove successful, we've got a good bet whether they stay clear or its a sprint, for Nesveda.
On the line, the winner is the mini-Astana rider, Yevgeni Nepomnyachshiy
who despite the difficult to pronounce name, had a pretty clear victory following the correct wheel and pulling out of the slipstream to the line in first! The attackers held the lead, but finished same time to the peloton!

SEB Tartu GP (1.1)
May 27th, 2013
Today is set out to be even tougher than yesterday due to the even stronger field we have here today! Dukla Praha have a strong team and Stevic looks like the overall favourite.
We're set up for a typical sprint finish today, when a major crash occurs with 13km to go, reducing the lead group to 47 riders, with over 100 riders off the back! All of the Sparta riders stayed safe, right at the front of the peloton!
As the sprint begins, Stevic is off to an early lead, while others like Arndt, Van Poppel and Giraud would have to come from behind if they wanted to win! Sparta had no riders in contention today, but Nesveda almost slipped into the Top 10, with a 13th place finish!
But at the line Ivan Stevic holds on to his win, proving he's got the legs to maintain his speed over a long distance. That was certainly a dominating performance from him! We can be moderately happy with our ride today too, and be thankful we all stayed safe after avoiding the crash as most teams were affected.

Crazy result in An Post Race! Must have been that small field
Also what I meant about that screen was what baia said, that empty landscape surprised me when i maximized the screen. |

Really dominant show in Ireland. A bit quiet in Estonia, though, but results will return next race! |

It's my first comment here but I'd just like to say I'm following this and it's amazing so far. As for An Post Ras, I just don't get why An Post never turn up at their own damn race on this game!!
Nevertheless, a great result.
@Teddy, that's what certain parts of Ireland actually look like. Nothing but green for miles and miles! |

@ Ian - Thanks Ireland went well
@ dacascos - Thank you! Stevic has been a real thorn in our side this year
@ selwink - Thanks!
@ baia - I suppose. We still didn't manage that great a result out of it, but avoiding it completely was great
@ Teddy - Thanks. Im pretty sure it was. And okay, that makes sense. I would have liked more landscape, but Im playing on full settings so its more to do with the actual stage I guess.
@ Miguel and Freitas - Thank you! Estonia wasn't quite as good, but Dolezal's 6th is still a nice ride. I hope we get some more nice results soon. I think the next race is a few Latvian races.
@ sutty - Indeed. For this team though, a 6th is really nice, imo.
@ brewers - Great to have you here! Thanks so much! They probably should show up. I'm going to do a little editing to make sure there are more realistic teams next year

I can't help but follow this story....especially if you're using my favourite football club. Never thought they had a cycling team of the same name though. Best of luck!

@ HaRe - Thanks
@ DJP - Great to see you again Your first post in a year is in my thread I thought your favourite was a team from Manchester Thanks for the post Oh and they've got a hockey team too
Team News
Okay, so before I post the end of Section 2 of the year rankings, I first want to post about this young rider I have signed. You should know, I have set rules for myself that I cant just sign riders from the top of the U23 ranking list, I can only sign riders that my scout actually finds. I wasn't going to mention this, but the quality of this rider, Im not sure you'd believe me. So anyway, here he is!
As well as signing this guy, who will surely be one of our leaders, we also re-signed Krotky, Medek and Viktorin.
Season Review April to June
Date | Race | Winner | 01/04 - 06/04 | Vuelta al Pais Vaisco | Weening | 07/04. | Paris - Roubaix | Boonen | 14/04. | Amstel Gold Race | Rodriguez | 17/04. | La Fleche Wallone | Costa | 21/04. | Liege - Bastogne - Liege | Kwiatkowski | 23/04 - 28/04 | Tour de Romandie | Van Garderen | 04/05 - 26/-05 | Giro d'Italia | Hesjedal | 26/05. | USA ITT Championship | Phinney | 28/05. | USA RR Championship | Farrar |
With these results, Boonen really dominated the classics season, and actually set a new record for Paris Roubaix wins, with 5 total wins and an absolute lead now. Hesjedal defends his Giro title from last year and Kwiatkowski establishes himself as a very good rider at everything by this point.

Kwiatkowski had an amazing two months, and Chris Froome improves on his points total with a 3rd at the Tour de Romandie. Surprisingly, Boonen doesn't move up into the Top 5 riders, but he sits 6th only a few points behind Henao who finished 2nd at La Fleche Wallone and 3rd at the Giro.

Konig leads the rankings, something he's done for a majority of the year! Our best rider, Hunal is actually placed 36th which is pretty amazing for the team! The exposure he's brought to the team has been awesome!

To our shock, we are placed 28th which is quite a bit higher than we were even hoping we could do, which was in the Top 50. Being this high, gives the team a lot of motivation for the rest of the year!

What a talent he is, time to give that scout a raise for that find. Can't wait to see what his stats will be like when he is fully developed.
