Final stage of the worst stage race we've done to date.
Euskal - Bizi Stage 4
Personally the stage looked like hell to me, so what it looked like to my already trashed riders, I don't know!
Malacarne went in the break again to maintain his position in the mountains classification, however he had mountain climbers go with him, so had a hard day.
After a few of the climbs and with 100km left, Malacarne had one bottle left, so we told him to sit up.
By the time he was caught, and the break reeled in, Belkov was alone.
Astarloza attacked on one of the last climbs, and Belkov had to stick in with the 3rd group on the road.
Which is where he'd finish just off the back so that he didn't bonk.

Veenendaal - Veenendall
This race would see the sprinters of the team, and those closest to level 3 experience taking part.
Steve Cozza was THE lone break of the day, away for 150km before being brought back in. This prompted several attacks. Posthuma's the only one that stuck.
With 2km to go for Posthuma, the rest of the pack had 3km. Drujon was feeling pretty good, and had Tronet on his wheel, who happened to be feeling amazing.
The sprinters closed fast on Posthuma, but to no avail as he crossed the line victorious. Drujon finished off the podium, with Tronet taking a classy 5th to make Auber 93 the highest scoring continental team for the race.

Due to the latest race, Malacarne is the 2nd rider on the team to hit lvl 3 experience. His stat increase is not a great deal, but combined with a few more stats trained upto 80-90%, in a few weeks he'll be very useful. As it is, his high (for the team) stamina makes him useful for breaks and team work.

Example,
George Hincapie came first, Stuart O'Grady came 2nd, and finishing off the podium is Tom Boonen, in 3rd
finishing off the podium = We've covered 1st and 2nd so to finish off the podium, in 3rd is...
slightly better?
YORKSHIRE BORN, YORKSHIRE BRED...

The four day stage race starts today in Portugal. We should do well against the weak continental teams in it.
Stage one - GP CTT Correios de Portugal
As there is only the one mountain finish, the majority of the squad will be focused on sprinting, with Malacarne for breaks, and Levarlet for the climb.
As the first day had just the one climb in it, we wanted to win it for the jersey. As wearing the most jerseys makes our team the prettiest by far!
So Malacarne went in the break as usual, and with +5 daily form, and being the best hilly climber, he won it with ease.
The break was of course caught, fairly early on actually, with 35km left to run. This gave the sprinters plenty of time to just catch their breath from the chase, and then get ready.
With 3km to go, Drujon was sat on the best sprinter out there with a 77Sprint stat.
Unforunately, the sprinter obviously had nothing left, and so after switching wheels a few times, Drujon clawed back into a top 5 position. Not too bad a stage!

Stage 2
Another flat, long day.
Malacarne again goes with the break, and after one rider takes the first climb with an attack, Malacarne decides to stamp his authority on the jersey by taking the second climb.
The break gets caught shortly after the intermediate sprint, and no-one else attacks with 35km left.
With 3km to go, Drujon gets on Bonomos wheel.
But he ends up not being able to get out of it until 500ms to go, by which point the stage can't be won.

Stage 3
The climbers stage.
Malacarne tried to get away again, but his group didn't stick, and he couldn't get into another one. So we waited for the final climb, and hoped that Levarlet could stick in the front.
With 10km to go, some of the favourites attacked and got a good gap over the peloton. Levarlet just stayed put with Belkov trying to help him.
The front group would drop one of their riders in the final kilometre when they started to sprint, but he'd still remain in the top 4 for the stage. Levarlet managed to stay with the front group, and start to move up the general rankings.
