Also, in other news, with Qatar being awarded the 2016 WCH, can anyone name another location less interesting than that? As far as I'm aware, races in Qatar tend to be 250 kms of pan flat terrain.

Lot of wind though, and possibilities of echelons. But as it is a course with loops, in a larger city, I guess the chances are lesser.

Jesus, the bribery going on in international sports governing bodies these days is unbelievable!
Soon the Tour de France will start there, and will have 5-6 stages in Quatar (200 laps around doha per day)... Maybe on day, a major tour will even finish there. It really would not surprise me!
