Menchov will be scary, judging by today. Wouldn't mind seeing him on the podium in Paris.

Spartacus, excellent!
Menchov's done a good job, Wiggins even better.
Exciting start! |

Well, that was rather predicatable, but enjoyable all the same.
Wiggins seems to be in decent form, Hesjedal doing very well too. Could be a very close Tour.

Very small differences between the favorites. Only a few really dropped the ball like F Schleck, Valverde, Sanchez and Cobo
Non-prologue riders like Dan Martin, Gesink, Van den Broeck lost very little time to most of the other contenders. Only Wiggins and Menchov get more than 10 seconds on them.
At least we're underway |

This Weekend i'm out so I didn't have the opportunity to follow the stage. I only saw Gilbert a little bit and he looked pretty good. I even said to my stepfather that a Top10 could be his result. Not so far I guess. It's great to see RSNT in yellow |

Indeed he was. It's obviously a little early too say, but after this prologue I am pretty convinced that he will make the podium as many as my bets also suggests before the start of the Tour. I would love to see Nibali contend for the GC in the end.

Sorry in advance to Avin for not including Velits or Sagan in this table
I get it with Sagan but you will be sorry soon for not including Velits

That f***king streak of bad luck for German athletes isn't going to end, huh?
*really, really, REALLY pissed...*
(pretty good ride by Gretsch, though)

Bad luck ? They put the maximal pressure and even a little more in the tires, to increase its output. That didn't puncture Martin's tire, but that increased the probability of such a thing happening. |

still it is bad luck..
some other riders also put maximal pressure to increase its ouput but they didnt had a flat tire. |

Don't take my numbers too seriously as I'm by no means a technical expert, but on 7k, that's like an increase of probability from 1% to 5%, 10% at the very most.
1/10 or even 1/20 isn't bad luck?

Wiggins rode a near perfect prologue, but what can you do when Cancellara is on fire like that
Hats off to Fabian, totally awesome display |

I wonder if in long TT's, Fabian will be able to dominate the opponents. |

In my opinion i think he didnt find his rythm in the beginning but a very strong second part (The last 3 km) |

I agree, his second part was Wiggins as he should be, first part was a bit lost.
Though Fabian would've killed him anyway |

I mean the more you're playing with limits, the most likely you are to have an "accident". Which is what happened. It's still bad luck, but it was probably avoidable. |

I loved Sagan's move that kept him on his feet, stylish way of taking risks! |

The second part had much less dangerous curves. As a G.C. favourite, Wiggo couldn't afford taking much risks there. On the second part he just had to deliver, which he did. I don't think he was lost in the first part, just careful. |

That could also be true. These facts remain: Cancellara is Spartacus, Wiggins is on the form of his life. |
