Sky arent going to be chasing down breakaways on every stage at the Tour. Unless they have rubbish tactics, which some might argue...
we will see, maby they are aiming for the green jersey as well, and like the giro, they will chase becouse of an intermidiate sprint...
You overestimate them if you think they can chase everything. They physically won't be able to - somethings will have to give. Wouldnt make sense for them to chase for either intermediate sprints, or mountain breakaways

Its Official without Andy this is going to be the worst Tour ever. 5 Mountain Team TT and 3 Flat ITT. 975.4 kms of TTT. Get used to Colors Black and Blue, beacause thats all we are going to see almost every day.
And the Final Standings are.

Wiggins
Evans
Van den Broeck

I agree, Sky are too canny a team to try and chase down every break, particularly if they're working for Cavendish as well as Wiggins. Now they'll only make the pace if they have to (i.e. dangerous riders up the road) and even then they'll still have to do a lot of work.

Sky's going to have to work hard though, don't underestimate that. Wiggins appears to be good, but Cadel's still my fav for GC in TDF. With Schleck gone, we'll have much less action in mountains, though. |

Specially considering that, if he goes to the Vuelta, he'll more likely be short of form there.

I agree. And even if he is on form, Alberto wants to comeback in great style, so will comeback in top form imo. |

They are not aiming for Green looking by their reactions...
Cav will not finish the Tour in my eyes, will try to grab few stage wins and do Worlds Jersey proud and pull out. That is backed up by how seriously he's taking preparation for Olympics, he lost 4kg to be best for Olympics.
Sutton and Brailsford know this is best EVER chance for a Brit to win Tour mate. Cav will have not much support except Pate and EBH as I think Eisel might not go. Team is focused on Wiggo.

Honestly, I think this will be a very exciting Tour! Just like 08 when Contador wasn't allowed to ride, which made for a pretty good race, atleast imo.
Roche would be an outside favourite too, and what about Rolland, Vanendert, heck maybe even Valverde if they are riding?
I still see a lack of attacking riders though, but hopefully I'm proven wrong.
