There's no date given for the date of release. But there's a lot of guesses.
Actually, I was really surprised when I played the Australian Championships yesterday. I was in a breakaway with a group of riders. We rode together for quite some time and established a large gap. And then the tactical race began. Lots of attacks were launched within the group, and a few succedded - but were caught again eventually. From the peloton, more riders had attacked - and because they had a lot more energy they were actually able to catch up with the 10 minute-gap the front group had beforehand.
In PCM06, you didn't see these kinds of attacks. As soon as you had gone into a breakaway, you wouldn't really have to watch this before the last 10 km.. This has changed, and I really like it.
I haven't played any longer tours, though, so can't say if that has changed all that much. I did play four stages of the Tour, though. Rogers won the prologue. The following day I had selected a mountain stage. Normally, you wouldn't expect Rogers to be able to follow Valverde and Vinokourov in the mountains, but at this stage he was. He probably had a good day (form of the day, see the preview for more information).
The following day, his "form of the day" was quite bad (-5 as I remember), and he wasn't anywhere near being able to follow Valverde and Pereiro (controlled by me) when they attacked. Vinokourov counter-attacked, though.
So, based on that, I think it has improved. |

Sounds very exciting cruetrue...ive always wanted that, when one breakaway got a good lead, other people also have a goal of winning in the peleton. In 06 You just could sit and wait while only one group were out. it sounds like great improvements. Also the form of day. That is just really cool, because that is excatly what could happen to a favorite. For once i think they come up with a really detailed work, where things have changed like the football manger games, and other sportgames.
Sounds great B) |

I was totally surprised to see Rogers being able to follow. I mean, he shouldn't be able to do that, and yet he could easily keep up with Valverde and Vinokourov. And I hadn't observed him, so I had no idea whether or not he had a good day. Frustrating. |

Please make a story on management part and stuff like that soon.
I would love to see a better management part. Because comparing to games like Football Manager it is not that great (offcourse you can't compare those two games).
PCM 2006 just doesn't cut it for me anymore. |

I'm not allowed to post a story about the management part - only the race-part. And the start might come today - otherwise tomorrow. And that's a promise. |

It's going to be much worse once you get the demo. people will play it, get the hunger for it and will want the full game.
then it'll take a week or so until the release. then more until they finally manage to get the game.
you're better off only getting the demo very late...

Actually, the beta testing have ended, and most of the beta testers' keys have expired. But since I wasn't added as a beta tester until the 2nd or 3rd beta my key still has some days / weeks left before it expires.
But when the game is done we will be able to download it - probably a week or two before the release. |
