You refer to the fact that Vino was involved in doping, like far too many other famous and non-famous cyclists found themselves?

Vino is a great competitor and athlete regardless, and even if he does have much to be disliked for, at least he has a great deal to be admired for too Wink

Probably already posted but *surprise, surprise* Gilbert won velo d'or ahead of Evans and Cavendish.

No, siwi said "they say all kind of shit", so he dislikes them. Then his sig says "Vino forever".
Vino must be the person in cycling who tells the more shit in interviews, which, when it comes to cycling, is not an easy thing to achieve...

Does anyone know when the Amstel Curacao race is, I can't find it on the internet and a website where you can see the live streaming

Boassen Hagen outlines plans for next year including winning a Spring Classic Rolling Eyes

“I’m not planning on going on any holidays because I am away so much throughout the season and it’s just nice to spend that free time at home. I’m taking the next few weeks completely off but then I will start doing some gentle work again to make sure I’m ready for the new year.

“Winning one of the spring Classics will be my main early-season goal next season; either Paris-Roubaix or the Tour of Flanders. Milan-San Remo is another big race for me and then after the Classics are over my attention will turn to the Tour de France.

“I’d obviously like to get some more good results there and hopefully take that form through to the Olympics in London. I’m not sure yet whether I’ll be competing in both events there or just the road race, but we’ll have to see how things go.”

Going to be hard to win Flanders and Roubaix for EBH nextyear IMO.

Specially in a team with two cobbles specialists better than him. He'd better focus on Gent-Wevelgem.

You can say a lot of things about Vino, good or bad. But there is one thing that no one can deny: The guy is a compulsive liar. He constantly lies and cheats about everything and anything. Seeing one of his interviews is maddening because he's constantly making promises he has no intention of keeping.

He's been a pro for 14 years and that has never changed. It's never going to change

Dont take what Christina Watches say very serious. They say all kinds of shit all the time. Terrible team.

EDIT: Just a few weeks ago they said that they are the best team in Denmark, and that all riders obv would love to ride for dem. WTF. They are not even the best continental team in Denmark.

I beg to differ. The team itself is actually OK. They ride pretty well, and seem to know what they're doing.

What you object to is Christina Hembo's way of making the team more than a team. She obviously tries to convert the team from business to showbusiness, which is evident in her press releases and her rhetoric.

How come nobody posted this yet?

Christina Watches-Onfone to announce new big norwegian sponsor and rider tomorrow(saturday).
(Danish article) https://www.sporte...ernerytter

Any guess who that could be?

"Proteinfabrikken". Never heard of it and not surprised that the "huge" sponsor and Norwegian "superstar" turned out not to be as huge and superstar-like as suggested by the team.

Riders per nation allocations announced for the Mens Olympics road events:
https://www.uci.ch/Modules/BUILTIN/get...p;LangId=1

Australia, Belgium, Spain, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland and USA have 5 for the Road Race
Denmark and France have 4
3 for Belarus, Brazil, Iran, Colombia, Ireland, Morocco, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey and Venezuela
Various others have only 2 or 1

Some nations also qualified for 2 riders for the time trial. Australia, Denmark, Spain, Great Britain, Germany, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Switzerland.

Remember that in the Olympics, those riding the time trial have to be taken from those also riding the road race.

So I'm guessing Wiggins and Froome will do both?

Wiggins and Dowsett in my opinion. Wiggins will be, like Cavendish, going down the Tour de France route, but I suspect the Olympic TT could be a big target for Dowsett, and he might aim to peak for that.

I'll say that Proteinfabrikken is pretty much known here in Norway. They are sponsoring some tv-shows and such, and it's not a surprising sponsor for a cycling team either, since it's from one of Norway's largest cycling areas. But you're right. It's not huge...

Only 4 for us ? That's a disgrace. According to CQ ranking, we'd be the 4th strongest nation. Of course with the PT points system, we're lower, but 4 riders instead of 5 is just non-sense.
Plus do they really have to announce it that early, can't they wait for a couple of weeks/months prior to the event to announce it, according to the then currently running season ?
What a load of crap...

Yeh, I was surprised Switzerland got 5 and France didnt. Looks to be a consequence of Zaugg winning Lombardia putting the Swiss above France in the UCI rankings
