Man, this is bad. But........... this can also happen in real life cycling. So don't stay mad at the game Although the injuries in PCM 11 look pretty severe, don't know how many fractured skulls, legs, hips and even vertebraes I've seen already... And never a 3rd testikel
I'd say"sim everything, except the World Tour races (Milan-San Remo, Paris Nice) and make a very short summary of that (max 2 pictures per race and the results).
Look at the bright side: Tim starts the Vuelta (that was in his schedule??) with not many racedays!
Borut Bozic has taken the overall victory in the season's first ProTour race, the Santos Tour Down Under.
The race was turned on it's head on the first stage, as a major crash 2 kilometres from the finish line caused major gaps in the eploton, and also caused crowd favourite Tim Roe (BMC) to abandon after suffering seriuos leg and elbow injuries. Sky's Mark Cavendish won the first stage, and wore the ochre leader's jersey for stage 2.
The second stage was quite hilly, and the uphill finish was sure to excite. Tiago Machado won the stage with a late attack, and TdF hero Cadel Evans came in 7th, 36" back. Evans featured in the crash on stage 1, and lost all hopes of an overall victory.
Machado rides away from his opponent.
Stage 3 was another bunch sprint, and Italian Champ Allesandro Pettacchi (LAM) out sprinted Cavendish to take the first win in the red, green and white for the season.
The 4th stage was where Cadel Evans really showed his all round ability. Excpected to end in a bunch sprint, Evans attacked on the final, short but steep climb and espertly downhilled his way to an extraordinary win. The Australian was still 1'55" behind leader Bozic though.
The queen stage of the tour was the home to a pair of great individual performances as Mikhail Ignatiev (KAT) won ahead of Australian Hilton Clarke (UHC). Ignatiev broke away on the penultimate climb, and Clarke closed the gap on the flat, before the Russian broke away again up the last climb. Cadel Evans was third on the stage as he led the pack over the line, 3'28" back. Bozic held onto the leaders jersey.
Ignatiev attacking up Old Wilunga Hill.
The final stage was a sprint won by Manx Missile Mark Cavendish. He celebrated emphatically, as he held onto the sprinters jersey.
Borut Bozic was the overall winner, with Ignatiev taking the KoM, Cavendish taking points and Pim Ligthart winning young riders.

Thanks for the support man. I will do just that, sim all races except major PT races.
And yes, Tim will be in tip-top shape for La Vuelta, and some other races so his whole schedule has basically been changed now.

Bradley Wiggins will be heavily peaking there, so unless he get's injured, I think Tim will have to be a domestique. He could chuck a Cobo though and start as domestique and end as overall leader, only without the doping.

or he could just use dope and pretend like he forgot to press the submit button.
so chuck rassmusscobo.
Hi guys, I am finally back!
I had surgery on my right leg a couple of weeks ago, and it all went smoothly. The DS said he had a chat with the doc, and although he wants me to race as soon as possible, he also doen't want me to aggravate the injury, so he's playing it safe. I should be back on the bike in a couple of weeks, and if my fitness training goes to plan, I should be ready and fit for the Giro! Sitting in my hospital bed 3 weeks ago, I thought there was no chance of me riding it, but hopefully I will be able to now.

Antonio was very happy with his overall victory!
Colom featured in a 6-man break that got away on the final stage. They won by about 6'00" and Cadel lost his overall lead after winning emphatically on the queen stage 4 and time-trialing well on stage 5.

Thor is again showing his great form!
Thor Hushovd has probably developed into the best cobbler in the world, and with Vansummeren and Heinrich Haussler, Garmin is probably the best cobbles team in the world. They showed that her with a dominant display taking the 1-2. Cancellara did well since his fitness was pretty bad. Manuel Quinziato of BMC impressed, taking out 7th place.

Very fortunate victory for Jan Kuyckx.
Despite dominating the prologue, and stage 2, Fabian got very unlucky on the final day when a seemingly unthreatening breakaway took the victory, 2'57" ahead of the Swissman, knocking him off the top of the podium.
Stage 2 was amazing for BMC, who with their strong squad, took out 4 of the top 5 places on the stage. Quinziato was 3rd with Karsten Kroon and Mario Filgueiras 4th and 5th. Bobbie Traskel of Skil stole 2nd.

Taylor Phinney loves the time-trial and really impressed here in Paris!
The Paris - Nice is 4 stages in, and after three bunch sprints, the time-trialist's still hold the overall standings.
GreenEDGE's Tony Martin won the stage 1 TT, and BMC's Taylor Phinney was 2nd, 4' back. Alejandro Valverde has shown great form and fitness lately, and showed that with his great TT'ing, coming in 3rd, coming 5" slower than Martin. Air Canada's Brajkovic and Popovych closed out the top-5 for the TT stage, with BMC's next best rider Jesse Sergent in 22nd place. After taking podiums in all three sprints, Theo Bos has knocked Popvych out of the top-5.
I have stopped here because the Tirreno has started, and I will be giving stage-by-stage reports for the race!
I am writing to you from the team bus, here in Sorrento, Italy for the first stage of the Tirreno - Adriatico. I wanted to go home to Melbourne, but the DS thought it would be best if traveled with the team through Italy. I'm in the fully decked out team bus right now, and Taylor (Phinney) has told me I have to put a photo of this on the blog because it is the first time he has seen it, and he is amazed.
Spoiler
Nice Tay, nice.
Anyway, here is a short preview of the race!
Preview
The TA, which has been running since 1966, is a 7-stage race through Italy. It is traditionally an important warm up for the Milano - San Remo, but the overall winner will probably be a puncheur or a sprinter who can climb, ala Thor Hushovd, 2010 Champ.
The profile of the race is hilly, rather than mountainous. There are 4 hilly stages, with 3 flat stages.
Favourites
P. Gilbert (RLO)
J. Rodriguez (MOV) D. Cunego (LAM)
R. Kreuziger (SKY)
E. Boasson Hagen (KAT) T. Hushovd (GRM)
R. Hesjedal (GRM)
D. Martin (KAT) M. Santambrogio (BMC)
This race, along with most other early season races, will be decided mainly around form and fitness. My vote is Phillipe if his form is strong, but any of those above riders can win, if fitness is going their way.
That's it for now, the race starts soon, see you then!
Mauro Santambrogio
Danilo Wyss
Marco Pinotti
Manuel Quinziato
Diego Ulissi
Karsten Kroon
Ivan Santaromita
Michael Schar
Mauro has developed into a great puncheur, and his great form and the fact that this is his home race give him a real chance to shine here. He will be our leader, with Pinotti, Quinziato, Santaromita and Ulissi all providing that spark that Italian Stallions possess!
Right from the get-go the pack started to climb. The attacks came quite early, with John-Lee Augustyn (SKY) and Allesandro Ballan (GRM) going first, prompting Bjarn Leukemans (VAC)and Karsten Kroon (BMC) to follow!
After developing a small gap, the four battled for the KoM jersey! Ausgustyn came out on top, gaining 15 points for the day and securing the polka-dot for stage 2..
At this point with 92kms left, the break group had 8'00" on the slow peloton.
80kms left and back in the peloton, Santambrogio (BMC) had a bad fall. He got up though, and would continue the race.
The pack had woken up, and with 35kms remaining, the break was down to 3'00"
20kms, and the break was caught. There were lots of attacks, but none were as devastating as Phillipe Gilbert's!
He wins again, he is a step above..
Since the final circuit was very small, the final groups were being caught by the front, and Gilbert was very close to them!

Great stage for Gilbert, he could hold the blue jersey the whole way through to the Adriatic! Unfortunantely, Mauro looks a little hurt after his fall though, and Marco may have to take over the leader role.
With 100kms to race, an 8-man break formed and had a substantial 7'30" break. Most notably in the break were Geraint Thomas, Maxime Monfort and I. Keisse.
Jack Bobridge and Simon Gerrans of GreenEDGE were chasing, with Sky and Garmin right behind.
A vicious pace had the lead back at 2'00" with 30kms to ride.
Another big crash, as the trains are being set up and the break is caught, No BMC riders are involved though which is good.
Hushovd leads out Farrar excellently, and the American is ahead. The others are all equally behind.
Farrar holds off Matty Goss and Pettachi, as Wyss finishes 12th. Great win!

Great win for Farrar, and Huhsovd is an amazing leadout! Wyss did well to finish 12th!
Hi all faithful readers,
I am sorry to tell that my PCm 11 has had a hissy fit and decided to delete all my savegames. This has happened to me before, and is very annoying. I obviously now, can not continue this story. I have my other story about Pierre Rolland still going, but I have lost a bit of motivation since I realised this file was deleted. I have a fantasy team story in the works for PCM 10, and hopefully it lasts a little longer than these two. Wish me luck..
