Moncoutie now 45 seconds behind Roy, and only 25 seconds clear of Hushovd

Roy did finish a few minutes behind Thomas after being caught yesterday - perhaps he was already looking to save more energy and planning for today?
Maybe. And it may very well be that Thomas is also saving energy for tomorrow.
A possibility - if youre not here for GC afterall, theres not much point pushing yourself on a stage where you cant gain anything.

Here they say Hushovd is 1 minute behind Moncoutie, then he's soon more than 2 minutes behind Roy. |

Hagen and Hushvod such catch them on the descent, I think.
6km to climb..no way they take it back at descent
If Hushovd is less than 2 minutes down at the top I'm not going to count him out.

Hushovd will catch Moncoutie, then the chase on the run-in will be very interesting. But I think Roy should be able to hold on, it would be an amazing win for him. He's been in the breakaway every day |

It's growing slightly. I'm not counting him out for the stage.

He's lead the pass over the Tourmalet and the Aubisque in consecutive stages, not bad for his CV.

Le World Champ could be within striking distance here, 2mins down at the top of Aubisque

It will be really interesting between Roy and Hushovd.
Moncoutie hasn't much chances IMO.

This drop on the left hand side is impossible. If you would crash out into that you could phone your family |

Wow Lars Bak.. How can he do this? One of the best riders so far in the TDF imo.
Hope Roy will win the stage. |

Hushovd is together with Moncoutie now. But he's not faster than Roy so far on the descent.
