Nice, Geox out. Too bad I can't get PCM$ for getting this right. I'll have to give myself a cookie later.
Now, and more important, countdown to Côppel's collapse for not being able to handle the pressure starts.

Menchov at the Giro + course that forces him to attack = awesomeness.

I really doubt Bretagne will be invited to the TdF. As SN said cyclingnews failed or they have information all other websites don´t have

Sporza says it's Saur instead of Bretagne. Probably will be Saur as Kumazan mentioned him.

That's crazy. Bretagne? Really? Calzati over Menchov and Sastre?
Can't be true.
Edit: And even if it's not Bretagne, but Saur, I still don't see any reason to invite the sucky French teams instead of Geox.

I do find it strange to not see Geox invited. A stage winner(s) over 2 former GT winners just doesn't seem wright.

Sports Illustrated comes up with fresh new doping allegations against Armstrong
Fresh off the press...
https://sportsillu.../index.htm
It's an interesting read for sure.
Thanks for that
For those who know all the evidence presented in the past, here's what's new:
- Armstrong had contact with Dr. Ferrari as recently as 2009;
- Doping products were found during the raid on Popovych's house a few months ago;
Yeah, calling what appears in an article as evidence is a bit overdoing. Right, a reporter will never stretch, bend or fabricate the truth.
Well all know all of that is just one big conspiracy anyway, don't we ?
Ah, no. Not what I said. Just sick and tired of irresponsible reporting. They call legend the fact so much that the legend becomes fact. Cycling suffers from this more than the other sports and it is frustrating. |

I must say I whole heartedly agree with ASO's decision. Before the UCI introduced the rules of top 18 teams get confirmed spaces, nobody would have even considered it unusual for 4 French teams to be in their home Grand Tour. Whereas no it seems people want to see the Tour all about the GC battle, and not about the daily battle to be in the break of the day, for the complete honour of just competing in the Tour.
I enjoy supporting, and watching, the French teams far more than the GC battle, especially when the GC battle is sometimes over with more than a week left to go, or if there's just one rider clearly better than the others. |

And while it bothers me not to see Menchov in a TdF where he could totally win if Contador doesn't show up (i swear im not joking guys), i really have to agree with this post.
French breakaways makes a french race so much better!

lol, what a shame. We've already 4 French teams and even then they prefer Coppel above Menchov. |

In response to rjc
Fair enough, but Menchov would be possibly Andy's biggest threat, so missing out on him is fairly disappointing.
Especially as Saxobank, Lampre and BMC get invites, I was hoping that the tour would break the rules to replace one of them with Geox

Andy's biggest threat is himself. Menchov is far from him, as much as S.Sánchez or Basso, specially with the <50km-of-ITT-fashion which is killing the GTs. |

Meanwhile, back at the hall of justice...
Hamilton is writing a tell-all autobiography.
If your first reaction is "Lance is screwed", let me assure you that this is far worse for Riis than it is for Armstrong or Bruyneel.
Not to mention what he'll tell about BMC aka Phonak's owners/directors

Geox also got left out of T-A. All 18 PT are in + Former ISD and Aqcua e Sapone.

Wow, they're going to make me feel bad for MatxÃn and Gianetti.
No, they won't. They will be everything but busy in March though. |

Not sure if they will be in the Giro then
Colnago, Acqua, Androni and Farnese Vini are also good options. |

We can only hope that Geox well be invited to the Giro and the Vuelta. However, it's still a shame that the poor frenchmen aren't able to see what they're doing. I don't know whether they hate Geox or they just wan't to give Sastre or Menchov a lesson and teach them and the rest of the world, that it is their race. And only theirs. Still, i can't see the point..
If Menchov and Contador doesn't compeat ind TdF this year got the Schlecks a big opportunity to make it 2 out of 3 at the podium.
Agreed, it is a joke. |

Now I'm starting to worry.
I want Menchov at the Giro, damn it.
