Agreed, Velits deserves 76-77 after today. |

Yes, the stats should be based on the TdF. I already have Antón or Rodriguez finishing in the podium @ Vuelta... If you raise their stats, you'll see them side to side with Andy Schleck and Contador, something that they've never done... only one rider can IMO, Frank Schleck. |

Some changes were made a couple of days ago. The DBs have been exported, and no further changes are going to be made until the 2011 DB comes along |

In order for Velits to be so impressive in PCM as he is irl, he has to have like at least 77 or 78 in every important GT attribute, hills, mountains, TT, resistance and recovery. And at least 70 in flat.
I figured I'd just edit his potential at the start of the new career: 74FL, 78MO, 80HILL, 80ACC, 79TT, 77RES, 78REC.
What do you guys think? I don't want him to be uber right at the beginning.

Those stats look ridiculously high to me. What has he done to deserve anything like 80 hill?
His Ardennes results for the last 2 years, as an example:
104 Liège - Bastogne - Liège
31 Flèche Wallonne
56 Amstel Gold Race
57 Liège - Bastogne - Liège
89 Flèche Wallonne
25 Amstel Gold Race
Mountain stat Id probably give him 77, but TT - we know there were variable conditions the other day, so Id be wary giving him as high as 79 until he shows it wasnt a one off. Something like 75-77 maybe.

I stated him 74mo 75hi 74tt 74rec 75res
He must show his Vuelta result again before I give him too good stats.
Especially if you see that this years Vuelta hasn`t got a very strong field. With your stats he will even get a Top5-10 result on Giro and Tour. And I am quite sure he will never reach Top10 in TdF. |

He was 3rd on that stage which ended with a 22%ish climb, he lost time in the mountain stages with a lot of climbing before the finish. That is why I didn't rate his stamina, I'm waiting for the Bola del Mundo stage. Although I agree that 79 potential TT is a little far fetched.
It's his first grand tour with GC ambition, so my post was all about potential, as I've stressed out.
It's obvious his current ability isn't that high, nor I'm assuming he will ever be a TdF podium contender, but I don't like improving stats out of the blue (MO 71->75, REC 67->73. TT 65->74 etc.), I'm just discussing his max potential related to his current success.
And that is why I've asked for your opinion.
I like playing long careers

Again Samuel Sanchez has 78 in TT... I don´t understand, I think 75 it´s ok
Jose Ivan Gutierrez has 73 in TT, I think 74 or 75 maybe ok
And Gasparotto 69 in SPR??? I think 73 or 74 maybe fine |

hushovd should perhaps have stronger on hills, and a bit lower on sprints. as he can no longer compete against the strongest sprinters in pure sprint stages, but can keep up with the pack in more difficult routes. |

I talked with one of the norwegians commentators about that Hushovd should very fast start training track or its offical from my side that his sprint days are over.
He said that i had to ask him but he tought i had a good point because Hushovd is one of feew sprinters that not trains track.

Eh?
Go on then, name all these sprinters who currently do track racing aswell.

Cavendish hasnt for a while - and not sure how long since Renshaw has done the track either, and ignoring Bos - got any proof for the rest?

Its Logic
The Sprinters that aint good in the mountains-hills an allways are in the grupetto are training track or they would be better.
Dont argue again because you know thats right.
Do you think that acceleration that Petacchi/Cavendish/Farrar comes from regular races.
