Well.....with Pellizottis & Co(not an excuse) it´s a little bit hard for Vital but i think main problem was Vital attacked too soon...last stage has one KOM sprint,the one who gets first own 10pts,if Vital manage that and Feillu/Martin don´t get any,Vital will be second in class. with 1 point less...

Footon is ryding 2 stage races at same time and both are sponsor goals...Vuelta a Catalunia and Settimanna Coppi Barcali..both we need a top10...Catalunia,as you all know,we are not going to manage that and at Coppi Barcali,..well i guess you must wait to see..we did also ride the Gent Wevelgem stage..

Last Stage..
Vital has the chance today to climb to 2nd place Overall in KOM class.
First attacks happened just before 1st Int.sprint,Feillu was in it,Vital went after him but peloton gave no chance to them to get away...one second try at the start of the climb did work...10 riders managed to gain 1´58" over peloton,here with 6kms to the top...
Just in case of anyone attacks,Vital went first to his objective,gain max. points and he get them...2nd place is secure..

..after that big effort,Vital lets escape group go,his job for today is done..
..he was all the stages in front of peloton chasing escapees,today he´s in front but getting chased...Ivanov..

11kms...R.Förster(MRM) and RDowning(SKY) are involved in a fall..
Wich causes others to fall too...X.Tondo10th/ +3´50", P.Gilbert61th / +10´18" and our Vital...

1km...Petacchi in front,Bennati,Davis,Pozzato,Milán,Cardoso,Rojas..
400mts...Bennati gets Petacchi,Davis,Cardoso overtakes Pozzato...
..and Bennati wins,Petacchi 2nd,Davis 3rd,Cardoso4th...Footon with 3 riders in top10..
News...seems Pozzato made some teams sharp of his habilities...

Thanks guys....Vital 2nd place has a strange taste(-1pt) but he showed great spirit here...hope to do well in Giro but there´s still a long way to ride...

What exactly are your goals for the Giro? Overall in top 20 will be very hard and even Cardoso might have problems to win the sprinter jersey.
So KoM might be interesting or stage wins.

Well,for the Giro we at Footon want to achieve the max. we can get there,if KOM shirt,stage wins,top15..but the main goal for the team will be la Vuelta.

This race run simultaneous with Catalunha,i played all the stages but i post only final results.Sponsor Goal-TOP10
Final stage results..
Footon achieved sponsor Goal and even more..the team did good.
Next race will be Gran Premio Miguel Indurain and Ronde Van Vlaanderen,after this two will start Vuelta al Pais Vasco.

Our squad for today..
Botd,4 riders,they represent no threat..2´52" gap..
Peloton rides relaxed,gap raises to 4´50"...165kms to go..
140kms.gap is 6´30"...working all together..
As peloton reach the first big climb,the gap is 8´41"...Footon decides to break this relaxing pace and Vitoria attacks...144kms to go..
With special escort,Vitoria goes wild uphill and nobody follows him..
Peloton seems not to decide wich team will do the pace...
At the descent,Bbox and Louletano take the front and start the pursuit..
88kms to go..peloton catch Vitoria and at same time O.Chuzhda(Caja Rural)attacks..
K.Volik(Amore&Vita) and M.Larpe(Roubaix) follow him..
...not really satisfied,Vitoria goes too..
70kms...
60kms...all escapees together...Vitoria is tired..
..behind at peloton..Valls launch an attack,N.Eeckhout(SeanKelly) tries to respond..but he can´t get away..
..Valls catch E1...
The french team Bbox is making a lot of pression...
40kms..peloton is getting closer...
..and knowing that,5 riders attack in E1...Vitoria is done,Valls go on the attack...and stays alone in front,gap 39" to E2..
Porto(Palmeiras Resort) attack in peloton...
..Herrero(Footon),E.Ratti(LPR) and D.Bernabéu(Barbot) follow him...
R.Mestre(Palmeiras)try to get away from peloton...
23kms to go..D.Blanco(Palmeiras)attacks from peloton...seems Palmeiras is making same tactic as we..Barbosa stays in peloton,we have Pedersen..
E.Pinto(Rota dos Móveis),J.Tschopp(Bbox) and C.Barbosa(Palmeiras)follow Blanco..
..but Barbosa gives up from attack,Footon had responded with Eibegger and Pedersen...
15kms to go..We have 4 riders on E1 but Valls is tired...
C.Lhotellerie(Roubaix),Barbosa(Palmeiras),J.Mendes(Rota dos Móveis) and I.Mayoz(Footon)attack at peloton..
Herrada(CajaRural),Zaballa(loulé) and once again Barbosa(Palmeiras)attack...

2,5km...We are making such strong pace,Blanco,Tschopp and Pinto can´t follow...
Last km...sprint starts..Tschopp is coming closer...
..but it´s not enought...
..we make 1,2,3...great race for us..

Thanks...yes it was very interesting race and for first time since long,my tactics worked just perfect..you know,sometimes you are going to start a race and you have that feeling that you are going to win?i had it but not just like this..
