Fifth stage. Sochi - Akhun mountain
Well, today was very good stage. Right from morning I fwas feeling very good, so I was sure that I won't loose today. I mean, that I won't loose seconds to Pires, but I didn't want to win a stage.
So, when after very big amount of attacks on Akhun I've seen myself in front group I decided not to sprint, but finish after main opponents. Francesco Masciarelli was best mountain sprinter today and he gained a victory that bringed him 4th place in GC.
But I was again not very circumspect and finished 3rd, BEFORE Pires. With 4 bonification seconds I unexpectedly became race leader.
My team mates made fantastic job today, and I want to stress out Berta... men. Bertolini, Bertogliati and Bertagnolli all were very good today. I don't mean that Ochoa wasn't helpful, he made huge work too.
Stage results:
1 | Francesco Masciarelli | Acqua & Sapone | 4h46'47 | 2 | Constantino Zaballa | Centro Ciclismo de Loulé - Louletano | s.t. | 3 | Max Belaschov | Androni Giocattoli | s.t. | 4 | Bruno Pires | Barbot - Siper | s.t. | 5 | Eddy Ratti | De Rosa - Stac Plastic | + 15 | 6 | Giovanni Visconti | ISD - Neri | + 19 | 7 | Sergej Fuchs | Team Nutrixxion Sparkasse | + 28 | 8 | Sergei Firsanov | Team Designa Køkken - Blue Water | s.t. | 9 | Leonardo Bertagnolli | Androni Giocattoli | + 53 | 10 | Mitja Mahoric | Adria Mobil | s.t. |
Sixth stage. Tuapse - Solokh-Aul
My goal for today was to save yellow jersey on my shoulders. So, my tactics was very conservative, I just made counter-moves to not let my rivals go far from me.
But it wasn't too easy. First of all, Constantino Zaballa with Visconti attacked when it was over 30 km to finish and I had to make all my team work hard in front, so when we came to final mountain, they were already exhausted and I was leaved on my own with my opponents.
Luckily they also were alone.
Right from the start broke some riders. And they had so big gap, that even on last meters nobody know who will win. Paoli Bailetti from Flaminia was in front. But when we begun our finish he couldn't match yesterday's winner, Maschiarelli. He gained second stage in a row.
I again didn't fight for victory and finished 3rd. Tomorrow it will be the very last stage that will reveal race winner - very hard mountain ITT. And you know, I'm going to win it!
Stage results:
1 | Francesco Masciarelli | Acqua & Sapone | 3h58'17 | 2 | Paolo Bailetti | Ceramica Flaminia | + 16 | 3 | Max Belaschov | Androni Giocattoli | s.t. | 4 | Bruno Pires | Barbot - Siper | + 27 | 5 | Simon Clarke | ISD - Neri | + 57 | 6 | Giovanni Visconti | ISD - Neri | + 1'01 | 7 | Eddy Ratti | De Rosa - Stac Plastic | + 1'09 | 8 | Constantino Zaballa | Centro Ciclismo de Loulé - Louletano | + 1'17 | 9 | Mitja Mahoric | Adria Mobil | + 1'49 | 10 | Sergei Firsanov | Team Designa Køkken - Blue Water | + 1'57 |
GC:
1 | Max Belaschov | Androni Giocattoli | 19h57'41 | 2 | Bruno Pires | Barbot - Siper | + 15 | 3 | Francesco Masciarelli | Acqua & Sapone | + 20 | 4 | Constantino Zaballa | Centro Ciclismo de Loulé - Louletano | + 1'47 | 5 | Eddy Ratti | De Rosa - Stac Plastic | + 2'09 | 6 | Giovanni Visconti | ISD - Neri | + 2'50 | 7 | Sergei Firsanov | Team Designa Køkken - Blue Water | + 3'38 | 8 | Mitja Mahoric | Adria Mobil | + 3'51 | 9 | Leonardo Bertagnolli | Androni Giocattoli | + 4'22 | 10 | Sergej Fuchs | Team Nutrixxion Sparkasse | + 6'06 |

Yes, I'm on hard. Well, to be honest, I remember that I rode one stage on normal because I forgot to switch it after riding another career.
But I don't remember what stage and what race it was. But I didn't win it, I'm sure.
My stats? I have 78MO now and nothinh else changed

Seventh stage. Krasnaya polyana ITT
The last stage that could decide the winner was very tough! 12 km ITT and right from the start it was climbing! Of course, only good climber could win today and you know who is the best climbers of this race...
It was hot today, 30 degrees, so wind from the Sea made good job.
As we didn't recognize a stage before we had to do it in race. First of us it was Thomas Bertolini, he started very fast but he was wasted already in a middle of stage. Then, Bertogliati made much better ITT and when Ochoa and Bertagnolli begun their stage, we already knew how we should do. Those pair made a little correctives in racing schedule and I needed just to stick with the plan.
My main rivals were in front of me and I knew their time... So, when I crossed first intermediate I was shocked. I had 30 second lag to Maschiarelli! I also loosed to Pires, Zaballa and some others. But it was my tactics - to start slowly and then increase my speed.
After stage middle I begun to work hard and on second intermediate point I had only 3 seconds lag to Francesco, I was on second place. Yes, I know that it was enough to save my leadership, but the crowd was mad today. They screamed "Davay, Davay! Vpered!" to me and I just couldn't disappoint them. I pushed all the time to finish and when I crossed white line and looked back on time monitor, I've seen that I had won it with only 10 seconds!
Stage results:
1 | Max Belaschov | Androni Giocattoli | 34'32 | 2 | Francesco Masciarelli | Acqua & Sapone | + 10 | 3 | Bruno Pires | Barbot - Siper | + 24 | 4 | Constantino Zaballa | Centro Ciclismo de Loulé - Louletano | + 48 | 5 | Rui Sousa | Barbot - Siper | + 1'12 | 6 | Giovanni Visconti | ISD - Neri | + 1'26 | 7 | Carlos José Ochoa | Androni Giocattoli | s.t. | 8 | Phil Zajicek | Fly V Australia | + 1'30 | 9 | Sergei Firsanov | Team Designa Køkken - Blue Water | + 1'34 | 10 | Mitja Mahoric | Adria Mobil | + 1'35 |
Last stage. Sochi
With such big advantage in GC all I needed today was to finish in the bunch. So, when big group of riders from last half of GC broke away, we didn't bother and just made a pace.
We let them go and they were fighting for stage victory. In final some American rider had won it. I just finished in rear side of the peloton and I heaved a sigh of relief - it's over, I made my season goal. I'm free now.
Stage results:
1 | Tim Johnson | UnitedHealthcare presented by Maxxis | 3h58'53 | 2 | Max Jenkins | UnitedHealthcare presented by Maxxis | s.t. | 3 | Benjamin Gourgue | Landbouwkrediet | s.t. | 4 | Luca Celli | Ceramica Flaminia | s.t. | 5 | Remco Broers | Rabobank CT | s.t. | 6 | Valery Kobzarenko | Team Type 1 | s.t. | 7 | Vladislav Borisov | Amore & Vita - Conad | s.t. | 8 | Alexander Kholodov | Itera - Katusha | s.t. | 9 | Daniel Silva | Centro Ciclismo de Loulé - Louletano | s.t. | 10 | Simon Clarke | ISD - Neri | s.t. |
GC:
1 | Max Belaschov | Androni Giocattoli | 24h31'06 | 2 | Francesco Masciarelli | Acqua & Sapone | + 30 | 3 | Bruno Pires | Barbot - Siper | + 39 | 4 | Constantino Zaballa | Centro Ciclismo de Loulé - Louletano | + 2'35 | 5 | Eddy Ratti | De Rosa - Stac Plastic | + 3'49 | 6 | Giovanni Visconti | ISD - Neri | + 4'16 | 7 | Sergei Firsanov | Team Designa Køkken - Blue Water | + 5'12 | 8 | Mitja Mahoric | Adria Mobil | + 5'26 | 9 | Leonardo Bertagnolli | Androni Giocattoli | + 6'03 | 10 | Sergej Fuchs | Team Nutrixxion Sparkasse | + 7'43 |

Thanks!
Guys, I simulated the rest of the season. Good news that I had won GP Begelli.
Also, Mark Cavendish is a new WC...
We have been promoted to Pro Tour and we already have very strong team, but we will have to have strong sponsors next year to solve some problems with finances.
I will post season statistics soon.

OK, season 2010, what it was?
Here is game stats:
As you see, Contador was unbeatable in le Tour, but only two bad stages in Vuelta and voilla - he is only second after Nibali. Cancellara couldn't win ITT WC again, a man from Germany, Tony Martin will wear rainbow jersey in time trials. And Cavendish as I already told you, is new RR champion.
Valverde and his team had won Pro Tour but now their ways are parted... But I'll tell about it later.
In continental tour it was great battle and I was one the main contenders there. Finally, only 4 points lag and second place after Sebastien Siedler. It's funny, but we didn't rode any race against each other at all, so our fight was absentee.
It was time (july-august) when Androni-Giocattoli wasn't even in top-3 in Continental rankings, as our main forces were riding Giro, but after that we have shown that we are main riders in the peleton. I want to stress that in almost all ProTour races in which we took part, we finished in top-10. Tirreno-Adriatico and I won it, Giro - and I was 5th, GP de Quebec - and Bertolini finished in close second place, Giro di Lombardia - Scarponi became 7th there. And only Tour of Poland we did not well - only 16th place by Ginanni.
For me it was the Magnificent year, I had much victories:
Tour de San Luis - Stage 1, Points and Overall rankings;
Giro della Provincia di Grosseto - Stage 2, Points and Overall rankings;
Tirreno - Adriatico - Stage 6 and Overall rankings;
Giro d'Italia - Stage 17 and 5th Overall;
GP Sochi - Stages 3 and 7, Points and Overall rankings;
GP Beghelli.
I think it's more that enough to be a leader of Pro-Tour squad, which we will be next season.

You know, I just looked on picture and I was shocked: Skil had less points than Landbouwkrediet and Skil was promoted, not Landbouw What the hell?
