those were some awesome races, I am really looking forwards to the 50km mass start now.

There is a much bigger advantage to be in the first semi finals like the two russians were... Only Pettersen who also were in the first semi had a small chance while both Hattestad and Northug were too far behind.

It is a tendency that you can see in the WC too, that the winner is almost always from the first semi final. There should be longer pauses between the rounds to let it be as fair as possible.

But well played by the Russians Smile... I had hoped we could have done better Sad

Yeah...

The amount of bad luck Norway has had so far in these Olympics are beyond astronomical. For a second it really seamed like it had all been magically lifted away with Bjørgen`s gold.

... and then then Poltaranin fell taking down Pettersen and making Northug and Hattestad loose contact. Grin

With that said though, what Panzinskij did on that sprint was truly astonoshing. Might very well be the most impressive sprint I have ever seen from start to finish. But he spent to much power to early.

Is it starting now, and if so where are you watching it

He did not mean that it starts now, its not before the last day of the olympics. Wink

The next cross country event is the womens 7,5+7,5km (first classic, then freestyle) mass start which is on Friday.

And just for the record; the 50km is always mind-bogingly boring. These days nothing rarely happens before the last 5km. Pfft

well, what was supposed to be a good ice hockey match (Canada vs Sweden), it's a bit one sided, Canada leading 5 - 0.

Does anyone remember in the 2006 Winter Olympics when that bobsleigh team won the gold? I can't remember which nationality they were, but they sure were the fastest on that day!
