Ok, i've not read the bit about Sky, let me summarise:

They think it because they've not won a tour/classic.

They come from a track background, focusing on how to make each rider be better in themselves, however track happens in a velodrome, without weather and less competitors.

The road cycling scene is already quite modern, how can we improve it?

But this fella' rounds off with: "We will have to wait and see".

-Thanks Jean-Luc Gatellier.

Well what else can you say, they are a new team with a different approach. Clearly this guy reckons it won't be successful, however we have to wait and see if he is right.

oh and Sicard will be france's next champion because he was French national track champion in 2008.

You can laugh now.

Still, most of the opinions on that page were very good, and it was genuinly a good article.

The AFLD is taking a budget cut of €4 million, the 2010 budget is €8.4 million.

So what does this mean:
60 jobs already gone.
450 are ready to go on paid holiday.

And.. less tests.

Despite the fact that Team Saxo Bank may not exist after this season, Chris Anker Sørensen has extended his contract with the team until 2012.

Apparently Lance is "months ahead of old schedule", with Chris Carmichael saying he is at now where he was in April of last year.

Anyone want to tell Lance thats not a good thing if the tour is his only goal this year?

Wait Lance is months ahead of schedule and fat, something is a little wrong.

ISD will ride MC bikes. Note that MC stands for Mario Cipollini

Some interesting read in a blog from a german cyclist Henning van Bommel about the Tour de San Luis. Last stage was 200km in the hot pampa. Pan flat, no place to hide. The first town after the starting town was the finish town almost 200km away.
He said it was a hard day for him, but he has the highest respect for the ISD-Neri guys. because the geometry of the MC bikes just allow one bottle holder, he writes with just one bottle this modell is either for camels or for the very hard working water carriers.

Kolobnev and Cancellara still haven't got their medals from the Olympic Games. At the moment Cancellara is still has bronze, but because of Rebellin's positive he should get the silver medal and Kolobnev should get the bronze medal. So far the ICO hasn't done anything about it, though they did erase Rebellin from the results.

Caisse D'Erpagne will not renew their sponsor contract after the 2010 season and will retire from cycling all-together apparently to focus on sponsoring the French teams in the Olympic Games of Vancouver and London, along with sponsoring the Annecy candidature for the 2018 OG.

this could be great but it could turn out bad too.

And very soon their best marketing face will be suspended, which will very much hurt their search for a sponsor.

It's looking bad for Caisse Pfft

Especially since sponsors are unlikely to want to be associated with a team that has its biggest name about to be suspended and its second most marketable face named in an ongoing investigation

So, issoisso sent two interesting messages to me at MSN.

1. Apparently, Jan Ullrich posted something along the lines of "Lance, ich komme" on his blog, insinuating that he's preparing a comeback.

2. Belgian sources say that Contador has signed a contract with QuickStep for 2011 - they're saying it's a done deal. Velonation.com sums it up in this article: https://www.velonation.com/News/ID/287...-2011.aspx

The Schumacher case is finally over. His two year suspension will end August 27th 2010.

EDIT: And for the record, I don't believe for a second that Ullrich is coming back
