I think it will be a great Vuelta 2010! Alot of mountains and hilly-stages!
I hope Contador will start against Valverde. Contador is a better rider than Valverde, but Astana is much weaker than Caisse, so it could be exiting! |

Personally I think the Vuelta route is my favourite again, the giro one is brutal which is great too.
Thumbs up from me.

I like it. Much better than last year's.
The problem is still the same problem that we will ever ever ever have to make a great route in Spain, though. We lack mountain passes before the last one (see Andorra & Cavadonga). That's a shame.
At least this time we've taken profit of the hilly stages, which is likely the best thing the organizations could do. Spain is filled with that kind of roads. Now, please, leave the concrete of the Bola del Mundo and let me enjoy the Xorret |

Very well tailored for Contador or Valverde. I'd steer cleer if I were Sastre.

I can't remember ever seeing one for past editions (Not saying they don't exist, I just haven't ever seen one)

I don't like the route. Too much top finishes and no mountain passes. No high mountain stages and not enough TT kms. In all stages there's always a better option than the one they've chosen. I prefer last years' with truly mountain stages and big mountain passes. |

The 2010 Criterium international route has been anounced (in Corsica don't forget!)
And yes, that is a summit finish on Stage 1 - 15km at average of 7%

The Tirreno is here. A typical T-A route, except there is no TT. And two rather long stages.
Etappe 1: Livorno - Rosignano Solvay (148 km)
Etappe 2: Montecatini Terme - Montecatini Terme (165 km)
Etappe 3: San Miniato - Monsummano Terme (159 km)
Etappe 4: San Gemini - Chieti (243 km)
Etappe 5: Chieti - Colmurano (234 km)
Etappe 6: Montecosaro - Macerata (134 km)
Etappe 7: Civitanova Marche - San Benetto del Tronto (164 km)

Tirreno: no time trials. Two uphill finishes, but maybe not enough for time gaps.
So, we're back to as it was before 2006. Will Freire win it again?
