5th for Sammy is decent... I really need some hilly helpers it seems. My 2nd best riders are out of the top 50. Not that they should do any better, but I guess I should've kept Ulissi for some extra points in these races... |

Considering the fact that my team absolutely sucks in hilly races, coming in third in the team ranking of Liege - Bastogne - Liege is excellent. Pozzovivo did much better than expected. |

Ind. Rankings
With 627pts in 3 races, Frank Schleck has built on his previous tally from Paris-Nice and Vuelta al Pais Vasco to storm into the lead. Boonen only drops to 2nd though with Samuel Sanchez unable to pass him. Ignoring, Pais Vasco, Filippo Pozzato has scored in the last 7 races and is now 5th, just ahead of Luis Leon Sanchez who has scored in the 5 last non-cobbled races. With 404 and 422 pts respectively, Hagen and Ricco were the next best Ardennes scorers after Schleck, and that see them rise up to 7th and 14th

Team Rankings
Rabobank are continuing to lead, pulling away from Wikipedia and only losing 41 pts to Festina in the Ardennes. With 519 pts, La Gazetta were the 4th best team in the Ardennes and are back up to 4th, closing in on their rivals ahead of their main season goal the Giro. Thanks to Schleck, Accumalux were the highest scoring team over these 3 races with a whopping 762 points gathered - and this sees them rocket up to 8th from 15th. White Bear - Wild Horse were also on the up, from 16th to 10th, as they gathered 633 pts, putting just ahead of the 3rd best team, B&O, who got 555.
Credit Lyonnais, Domina Vacanze and Unicef are the teams dropping down a little - and it couldve been worse for Unicef if not for Popovych in Liege. SIC Radical are starting to pull out a gap away from relegation in 15th to leave American Suzuki and British Airways scrapping for the 2nd relegation spot and Eurosport continuing to try to catch up - those 3 teams gained 127, 123 and 128 pts respectively, barely more than the minimum score of 120. Although with only 7 riders in Liege, the minimum possible score for now 5th placed Warner Brothers was 115 - and thats what they got.

Things not looking good for Eurosport. No riders to challenge in the hills or on the cobbles - plenty of decent stage racers, so hopefully we'll start to catch up a little.
Aother great result for Piti at LBL. |

Hmm not entirely happy about the 3 hilly classics. 8th, 5th and 7th. I really hoped to get atleast one top 3 result, but I think I have to give the blame to myself here, for not having a decent hilly helper for Sammy. I should've put in Castaño or so to support him, and as Carlos has been used for other races in which he is not my no. 1 captain it has to be called bad management.
I'll know that for next year.
Atleast we are still 3rd in both ranks, with a decent shot at taking back on Wikipedia, if we should end up beating Trofimov. Rabobank is easing away while La Gazzetta will overtake us by a huge margin after the Giro. Warner Brothers will continue to lose ground now, and we can only hope for Lipton to do so aswell...
As Samuel Sánchez is riding, and most probably will end in top 20 GC there's a good shot chance that he could get into 2nd after this race, but 1st will be impossible I'm afraid. Would be fun to lead at some point |

Great Ardennes debut for Hagen, unfortunately he couldn't match Schleck.

Out of interest, what ratio of hills vs. mountains are you using for the Ardennes?

That explains alot, I had assumed it was 0.5 and was hence quite confused.
