Aye that one. To be fair I'd chosen the new transfers for Virgin for Smoothie, and the race planner, and training. Then Smoothie pulled out, so it made sense for me to step in Or something like that....

Yeah, first race, first win couldnt ask for a better season start.
and well, winning the race I had to count the PT points I scored, so I just did it for eveybody then anyway.
note: the opening TTT, I only let the first 3 teams score 3, 2 and 1 point. no individual points. I'm not sure how it works, the scoring topic doesnt say how.
First Name Surname Team Points
1 Daniele Bennati La Gazetta dello Sport 63
2 Maxime Vantomme Philips - Hummel 42
3 Lars Croket White Bear - Wild Horse 41
4 Aleksandr Serebriakov Virgin Media - Caisse d'Epargne 32
5 Gert Steegmans Rabobank 29
6 Michiel Van Aelbroeck Rabobank 20
7 Mathieu Heijboer Rabobank 15
8 Jean-Patrick Nazon M&M Cycling 10
9 Tom Boonen Warner Brothers 9
10 Sergei Kolesnikov Warner Brothers 3
11 Matej Mugerli La Gazetta dello Sport 1

You forgot the new scoring system
So, here we go:
Daniele Bennati tops the chart as expected following victory in Qatar, but Lars Croket is a strong 2nd after a breakthrough performance - 1 of 5 Belgians in the Top 10. With points for all finishers, 120 riders now have some ranking pts to their name.
1 Daniele Bennati ITA La Gazzetta dello Sport 408
2 Lars Croket BEL White Bear - Wild Horse 345
3 Maxime Vantomme BEL Philips - Hummel 252
4 Gert Steegmans BEL Rabobank 191
5 Aleksandr Serebriakov RUS Virgin Media - Caisse d'Epargne 190
6 Tom Boonen BEL Warner Brothers 144
7 Michiel Van Aelbroeck BEL Rabobank 118
8 Mathieu Heijboer NED Rabobank 96
9 Matej Mugerli SLO La Gazzetta dello Sport 63
10 Sergei Kolesnikov RUS Warner Brothers 61
11 Maurice Schreurs NED Philips - Hummel 60
12 Diego Ulissi ITA Philips - Hummel 53
13 Pim Ligthart NED Virgin Media - Caisse d'Epargne 49
14 Matteo Bono ITA La Gazzetta dello Sport 39
15 Allan Davis AUS American Suzuki 38
16 Aleksandr Bespalov RUS Virgin Media - Caisse d'Epargne 37
17 Ian Stannard GBR Virgin Media - Caisse d'Epargne 35
18 Alex Rasmussen DEN Virgin Media - Caisse d'Epargne 34
19 Hervé Duclos-Lassalle FRA Rabobank 28
20 Matthieu Sprick FRA Wikipedia 25
21 Dennis Van Winden NED La Gazzetta dello Sport 22
22 Eros Capecchi ITA Rabobank 21
23 Sébastien Ivars FRA Wikipedia 20
24 Michael Ford AUS La Gazzetta dello Sport 18
25 William Ford AUS Virgin Media - Caisse d'Epargne 18
And in the team standings it is La Gazetta dello Sport on top, thanks to Bennati but good showings from a few of their riders mean Rabobank are only 100 pts off in 2nd. They are the top 2 currently - and could this be the start of a season long battle for number 1? In 4th at the moment are White Bear - Wild Horse, with Croket helping them to prove their worth up in the top division. With 3 teams not riding, it is they who hold the relegation positions.
1 La Gazzetta dello Sport 577
2 Rabobank 475
3 Philips - Hummel 392
4 White Bear - Wild Horse 381
5 Virgin Media - Caisse d'Epargne 379
6 Warner Brothers 244
7 Wikipedia 138
8 American Suzuki 89
9 Team B&O 88
10 Festina - Seiko 60
11 SIC Radical - Timberland 57
12 Accumalux-Huez 56
13 British Airways - Martini 40
14 Crédit Lyonnais 40
15 Lipton Ice Tea 40
16 Domina Vacanze 0
17 Eurosport 0
18 Unicef 0

I highly doubt it. I told anyone that would listen that our goal is to avoid relegation. And maybe this unexpected result will do just that, but compete for the #1, i don't think so.
With that being said the boys did a great job, and hopefully we can continue to shock the world.

Good point, when writing that it had slipped my mind that 2 of your main riders had been loaned away

9th!
If I'll be there by the end of the season I'll be thrilled (eventhough I'm still convinced that SotD put too little faith into my team in his season preview).
