Roman Kreuziger is in almost for sure.... (from today's interview)
And what I know, Vino should also start....probably with Kloeden as co-captain?
Nothing against Contador, but I don't him to start... I want a new Grand Tour winner... |

If he can find a team, his suspension ends soon/ has ended. Same with Vinokourov. |

I don't think he'll be riding... I didn't hear any speculations about contracts with him... And there is no much time... |

3 mountain stages with mountaintop finishes in a row. Eat that Bore of France!
Gesink will be happy. Altough I expect the overall to be contested between Valverde, Sanchez, Basso and Evans mainly |

Valverde, Sanchez and Contador (If he races) will win it, as Evans will go down just like in the Tour.
By the way didn't Gesink left the Tour because of a bad injury?
(Didn't saw much of the first week of the tour) |

It wasn't a bad injury. He broke his wrist but it was a 'nice' broken wrist and he was already back on the bike 1 week later. He is now training in St. Moritz for the vuelta. |

I wish Gesink would not have fallen, but at least I have something to look forward to in the Vuelta. Can you imagine the last Dutch rider who finished top 5 in the GC of a Grand Tour, is Michael Boogerd? (Tour '98). Yes. It is that long ago

Then you should have seen the tour' 07 through the eyes of a Dane. :S |

Then you should have seen the tour' 07 through the eyes of a Dane. :S That Dane was riding for Rabobank, and my 2 favourite riders of that moment (Boogerd and T.Dekker) were working for him the entire Tour. I know how you felt. |

Damn Vuelta organisers, only release the profiles of mountain stages :\
I'm going for Valverde. He's fresher than ever, had time to prepare the race very carefully and has probably the best helper in this years Vuelta: Rodriguez.

Sammy Sanchez...
Although the three mountaintop finishes might hurt him. If there were a lot more descents to the finish Sanchez would be better off. |

I would go with Valverde too, but he won`t make it I`m afraid :/ He just can`t do good GT result.
Edit: I see he made 2nd overall in 2006, but still it seems he`s missing something to win.

Jakob Fuglsang!!
Edit: And Breschel for the points jersey.
Now that I come to think about it, I'm really looking forward to this Vuelta.
Go Denmark!!

I think Samu might take this, but I'll wait to after Vuelta a Burgos and other warmup races to draw a conclusion.

Not too sure about Sanchez, I think it was two years ago he also focused his entire season on La Vuelta, he was insane in the last week of racing, but the first two wasn't to the same standard, he was some way off that actually.
But with this favourites' field I think we'll have an incredibly entertaining Vuelta GC.
