I hope It comes down to Evans and Contador 1v1 in the last 3km.
But i think Lance will take yellow today as part of Astana's great plan. |

J.Vaughters prediction of todays stage:
I think this stage will be contested by a group of 15 to 20 riders, so someone with a bit of a sprint left at the end of a climb will take the day. Frank Schleck, if his knee is okay, or Kim Kirchen would be my picks.

Reasonable time differences, but not big. Contador takes yellow, and the stage unless there's a break up the road. |

Imo, the Astana rider that goes here and probobly takes yellow will not be the same that will win the Tour. |

yeah the stage is not really flat but also there only one hard climb (Verbier) the others are from 3rd category, so not really stage for climbing...
I predict a group of favourites together at the summit, maybe some small time-differences like 20s....the final climb is to short

I don't see why people think this stage is flat untill Verbier.. I see 4 category 3 climbs and one category 2 climb, and the only "flat" section is from the bottom of Col des Mosses to Martigny. Then the 17 km from Martigny to the bottom of Verbier it is actually rising at low percentages, but when going for that long it gets hard. So I don't see this stage having a "flat" inrun to Verbier at all. |

the verbier climb just doesn't seem steep enough to make a selection between the top climbers. The only potential i see is that contador breaks free. |

I see a constant 8% gradient with the final KM at 3%
Thats hard enough

and last 3km. we will get some atacks. (I realy hope that I am wong)
They should invite Di Luca for next year..

what i'm curious to watch is the armstrong contador potential duel. i wonder how they going to play their cards. contador attacks...evans marks....armstrong counters? other way around? what exactly is going to happen...contador and armstrong watch each other and let sastre go up? i think you'll see a lot of gambling tomorrow. |

I'm think Lance will try something? Why, because contadors attack on Arcalis wasn't planned and suprised him.
Lets remind ourself:
Alberto attacked, lance did the team thing and didn't chase.
Now, will Alberto do the same? My guess, no.

Contador would be stupid if he didnt chase Lance - teammates or not, they are each others closest GC rivals right now.
Besides, while Contadors attacked maybe caught Lance out - I think if Lance attacked Contador would be ready to follow/counter right away.

If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or Fight Like Hell.

Boonen out of Tour de France
"He [Tom Boonen] was up all night with diarrhoea, so there is no point in him starting today," Quick Step team director, Patrick Lefevere, told Cyclingnews on Sunday.
