He isn't going for a break he's there for the sprints, this stage was just to tough for him, and he had a crash.

Plus he is a horrible climber, so when the pack got away...no chance to get back.

Kirchen and Rogers don't care about the overall: they're going for stages.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Monfort can do in this tour, he seems well prepared for the GC. With his time trialling improved and a great TTT team, I think he might end up around 10th-15th.

Guido Mukk
That would be intresting..but seems like main goal is continue where they ended with Giro..collecting stage wins.

Todays break (Bouet, de Kort, Dumoulin and Ruben Perez) is having a much easier day then yesterdays'. They've already got a 10'20 lead after 27km. It'll be much more difficult for Columbia today, IF they'll chase at all with tomorrow's TTT.

I see good chances for this break.

Well I wish I had known that before I put my bet down. Might have gone with "other rider".

Wilier
Saxo Bank will do the chasing, as they want to keep the yellow jersey.

Brian Holm, DS of Columbia, said that they can 'afford' not to chase, and that they wouldn't chase if not the other sprinter teams weren't willing to help out.
