I can't believe that it is an intended effect. To have a rider lose 3 points on one of his stats, which may take a season to recover is ridiculous. If the reduction lasted a couple of months, maybe, but otherwise it doesn't make sense. The fact is that doing a training camp in real life wouldn't lead to your ability to decrease.
The drop post training camp destroyed my team on the game. I had a bunch of mediocre climbers and needed the camp to give them a chance in races. Twelve months on many of them are still not back to the level they were before the camp.
Doing a training camp in real life wouldn't make a rider like Moncutie win the Tour de France with a margin of 10 minutes
Completely agree ponka why oh why would they increase that much you could understand 1 stat and also when someone has completed a training camp they usually do the tour then have a rest for a few weeks as they would not be as good until they have had that rest. So tbh its realistic i think. |

You're missing the point.
Training camps aren't training camps. They are Cyanide's way of implenting doping in the game - and in that perspective, it's quite realistic |

I've always thought of it that way, but the OP was pointing out that you wouldn't be a worse ride after the effects of a training camp has worked off in real life. Thats why I said that |

If that's a joke it's an awful one.
If it's not, it's just plain wrong.
Sorry if this sounds aggressive, I've got a massive headache.

Anyway, on the original issue, I just asked Cyanide (or, I reported it as a bug).
They say that yes, it's indeed a bug, and that it will be fixed. It's also said that the bug only happens if the rider, because of the training camp, goes above his 'natural' limits. |

Question: Are fitness camps which you do at the beginning of the season similarly bugged? Cause I usually do a long one just before the Australian Tour... |

Only if the riders reach their max stats - and they won't with the pre-season camps. |

Too make that happen. He was the only person to do that before right?

PPDB was the first to do it.
And either way, it's very easy to make. It's just another injury. Just as easy as adding a team, rider, country or whatever. |
