Best team ever!!!
Edit: Filipe Cardoso is well underrated too, along with some others. He is one of my favourite portuguese riders. He still didn't show his true potential in the pro peloton, he has always to work for someone else. He is a good small mountains climber, a good time trialist when it is needed and a good sprinter in small groups.

Great choice of team. Should make for an entertaining story.
Can you please post the primary sponsor objectives too. Would be nice if you could also post the full race calendar for the team. |

This is not dead story...I have been working has grazy lately..and this time I don't now where to rush..I have all year
Stage 1
Doha TTT
Let's start with TTT and this ain't probably be fun..
Caisse open's the tour and season for us..Not bad 2nd. time of the day. 12 sec. short to take a leaders jersey.
Has clock work..hugh TTT favorite takes also stage win and Bert Grabsch is Qatar tour leader.
Rabobank..3rd. time 12 sec. slower then Columbia.
Katusha 8th. time +33 sec. behing..light dissapointment for russian new top team.
Liberty..disaster. Slowest time..I hope that sponsors will not make theyr conclusions after that first stage. Tomorrow we sprint..a little better chanches there.
Results:
1 Bert Grabsch Team Columbia - High Road 15'13
2 José Iván Gutiérrez Caisse d'Epargne + 12

Stage 2
Al Zubarah - Doha Golf Club
Peloton should wach out sidewind on the open fields..We are butting all today for Manuel Cardoso and punch sprint.
..and here we are. Peloton is trying to keep together..this will take a lot of energy.
For sprint..all are back together..Francesco Gavazzi will open the sprint..Manuel Cardoso
in in the game. Sieberg...Bram De Groot.
..Now Manuel!..open road ahead. To early?
..Cardoso is out of energy. But who has passed Sieberg in the last moment? Mikel Gaztañaga.. Not bad start for Cardoso. A little to early at the front.

Stage 3
Camel Race Track - Qatar Foundation
Flat stage but with grazy wind..
70km to go..split. Tour leader Sieberg s getting away..Liberty managed to get Nozal in that group..
Chase group..Fischer is pushing Liquigas guys fast as possible.. Our sprint hope Manuel Cardoso is in the same group..
..Group is back together..It's is still hard work to keep that group has one..
..and another split..Peter McDonald has slipped away..Kyer, Stéphane Poulhiès chasing.
Real hard stage..
Few km. to go..McDonald is lonely Drapac Porsche rider at the front..Fischer and Mathieu Drujon..is chasing.
So close for McDonald..inside last km. Fischer and Drujon passing him..
Drujon takes stage win and tour lead..
..another great stage for Manuel Cardoso..he finishes with previous leader Sieberg..and making hugh leap forward at the GC. He was 148th. +1'11 behind. After this stage he is in the 13th. place..
We are still ambition..and after stage win.

Stage 6
Al Wakra - Doha Corniche
Last day in Qatar and last chanche for Manuel Cardoso take a stage win..windy day.
..as tradition in Qatar ..peloton should fight hard to keep it together. Strong sidewind..
Markov..guy who has won stage 4 and 5 is in trouble..he falls of for main group. No chanche for stage win today.
Should be perfect for Cardoso he is placed into Liquigas train..and follows Fischer backwheel.
This is ain't good..on the last moment Manuel has lost concentration..he will loose some energy to get back at the front..
..and a sprint. Everything looks perfect for Fischer..Claudio Corioni nice lead out. Cardoso is 6th. in the same train.
....Francisco Pacheco challange Fischer..
..no Fischer holding a lead. First stage win for points jersey holder. This is important one. That means Fischer also taking tour win. Cardoso 3rd...he has been all week close at the top..but no stage win for us this time.

Some good results down in Qatar. Just unlucky you didn't get a stage win. |
