frustration after editing contract, I edited contract to show ending 2012 but despite that, and despite october nor arriving yet, my rider is now listed as signing for another team next year . That may be because he was previously listed as out of contract. The variable of him having signed for another team just appeared there without my noticing, about half way through 2010 Tour De France, which I'm performing remarkably well - Worn the Yellow Jersey on two seperate occasions thanks to remarkable team time trial(It's time trial rich race in 2010). I'm going to wait till next year and change the guy back.
Unless anyone can offer some advice as to how to have him so he's contracted with me next year.
To Clarify, my Edited Rider is listed as his contract running out in 2012 after editing, he didn't show as having signed for anyone next year but didn't show out of contract either, the actual race year is 2010, month is July, previously his contract was due to run out in 2010 and therefore he was out of contract come october 31. He's no longer out of contract but now showing signed for another team next year. Does anyone know where(What table/field) to find the signed for next year stat might be found?
BTW you guys and Girls(Unsure if there are any females but just in case) are awesome, I've never experienced such friendly and consistant help in an international forum in the past. |

That's OK vergadin, we're always pleased to help (and I know, I didn't help, but if you were talking about anything from PCM 06, I would have helped)

Along the same idea do you know if there is a way of using the editor to make your team more attractive for riders to sign for you? |

@Scott, you can use it to sign players, but i don't think attract them more, unless you change the table DYN_team, and the column 'rank_UCI_last_year' to 1 or something obviously if you did this you would have to locate the real number 1 and change their number to yours
but i really don't think that would help too much, worth a try though
@vergedain,
1. look in DYN_contract_cyclist
2. locate the column 'fkIDteam'
3. make sure it says your teams ID number
4. then in the same table locate the column 'gene_i_date'
5. make sure this says the same as all the other cyclists
6. now locate the column 'gene_b_active_contract'
7. make sure it says '1'
8. now just check the 2 columns next to it 'blsRenegociation' and 'pipo_sz_name'
9. make sure the 'blsRenogociation' says '0' and the 'pipo_sz_name' column is blank.
NEW TABLE
10. open up the table 'DYN_cyclist_next_year'
11. the column which says 'fkIDcyclist' is the ID number of the cyclist (find that by his name in DYN_cyclist)
12. the column which says fkIDteam is the ID number for the team he is contracted to next year make sure it says the ID number for your team (found in DYN_team)
there are other columns but only if this doesn't work i will explain them (or try, i don't actually know what they are yet)
Please try all the things above doing them in order they are in the post, it doesn't really make a difference but it may help
hope this solves the problem, obviously if not them please say, and if it does then please say as well

SO what about the will renew contract column? Does that make someone want to resign with you? |

The key is that you'll have to carefully check dependencies in the DB. Updating a table without it's related fields, might cause strange behaviour in the game afterwards, or a crash.
Allyssafan made this Excel sheet with a list of all tables found in the DB. I took it one step further and connected the ID's with their corresponding fkID (foreign keys). For simple editing it might not be needed, but it certainly helps understanding relationships between tables.
Can't upload here, so if someone would be interested in uploading it, send me a PM or a mail (), then I'll send it over by email.

I suspect you are spot on with database edit problems.
That excel spreadsheet would be quite useful in understanding the relationships between the data in various tables.
