The stages look difficult, but none of the final climbs seem to be epic... |

Add Vandevelde and Dekker, Nibali, Lövkvist.
Cervélo and Saxobank likely to send their Tour squad

Saxo Bank has their Tour team, with the exception of Voigt and N. Sørensen.
Schlecks
Breschel
Arvesen
O'Grady
Cancellara
Larsson
C. Sørensen
So one of these 8 riders will not recieve a Tour spot since Voigt and N. Sørensen have their spots secured according to Riis. Same goes for guys like Andy, Frank and Fabian surely

Didnt Larsson only re-sign because he was guaranteed a Tour spot?
And it would be good to see Chris Anker Sorensen and Breschel at the tour imo. |

Yes. Same thing with Sorensen.
That means bye bye Breschel. Which makes sense, considering he's not much use to the team at the Tour.

Don't be too sure about that. I wouldn't be surprised to see Breschel getting picked over Larsson, Arvesen or O'Grady for that matter.

Larsson will ride, he has been promissed that, and he's the 2nd best TT in the team so it would be more than stupid not to pick him. O'Grady is properbly sure becasue of his experience and the fact that he's good in TTT. So it's either Breschel or Arvesen that has to stay at home this July, hard to predic who's gonna ride.

Larsson has a contractual right to be at the Tour that can't be denied by the team.
Arvesen was pulled out of the Giro squad to be at the Tour.
O'Grady is a voice of experience.
All three are far better climbers and far better time triallists than Breschel.
What would Breschel offer? Not much.
So it's up to Arvesen to not show horrible and thus get the job.

You're forgetting one thing:
Saxo Bank
Breschel pretty much has to be there |

Another thing: There's a Danish sports blog writer who happen to 'know his stuff'. He usually has the right sources, etc. He currently has these riders in the line-up:
Andy Schleck
Frank Schleck
Jens Voigt
Nicki Sørensen
Stuart O'Grady
Chris Anker Sørensen
Fabian Cancellara
Gustav Larsson
... and Matti Breschel and Kurt Asle Arvesen fighting it out for the last spot. |

Arvesen is very highly rated as road captain, and a talented rider on all terrain. I can't see much that Breschel can do better than him in this Tour. |

Considering Arvesens performances last year, I'd be shocked if he didn't get a spot.
If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or Fight Like Hell.
