I've just come across the very same problem in pcm 2007. I've been playing for a number of seasons (these forums have helped me to overcome soooo many of the various bugs in the game etc) have taken team RELAX from a midrange continental tour team to one of the biggest teams in the pro tour. I won the Giro last year with a young Italian rider that I scouted and have developed and this year had held him back specifically to have a stab at winning the Tour, got him in peak condition, he'd just ridden a good Dauphine and I was really looking forward to having a crack at the Tour then this problem.
Did it ever get resolved does anyone know? Again it's strange as in previous seasons I've never had a problem with the Czech national champs.
Whoooo!!! I'm so proud of myself... I've solved a PCM bug myself!!
I tried temporarily changing my team on the dashboard editor to one that had a Czech rider in it. Then when it was loading the 3d race it crashed at the cyclist textures stage... and something struck me. There were only 4 names on the start list... maybe that isn't enough for the game to simulate.
So I used the HannesEditor to create two more random Czech cyclists..... and it worked! The race now simulates without a problem!!
So the issue had been that too many Czech guys had retired and there wasn't enough left active for the game to sim. If anyone else has a NC crash then I suggest they try the same.
Right I'm off to have a beer and try to win the Tour!!
