too bad his lifetime form only gave him the victory in E3 Prijs |

If I need a pick a winner (still has not placed my Daily bet) I will choose between Boonen and Flecha.
Pozzato..you will probably say no..but he is in amazing condition..
Hushovd probably not..he has made somewhere mistake in preparation..
sry, that Cancellara does not look good after come back..
Hoste ?
and ofcorse:

yeah pozzato is in nice shape, but his problem is that he has a weak team which can't really support him in the race |

I hope Hincapie and Burghardt do well. Mainly I just hope Hincapie doesn't have any kind of incident like his handlebars snapping off or a chain breaking. It's been a while since he had a completely incident free race at P-R.
9th last year with two flats makes me think he could have a top 5 left in his legs. |

I think Boonen will win, but placed my bet on Hoste to make it worth something |

I hate watching Hincapie and Burghardt in this year's spring classics. Instead of making the race, they just follow wheels and won't contribute to any breakaways. I presume this must be because they're not at the same levels as Pozzatto, Haussler, Boonen and the rest of the Quickstep boys.
As for Pozzato, you don't necessarily need a strong team to win in P-R. The key is that he doesn't end up in a group of 3 or more Quicksteps. Then he has no chance. But as long as the other teams don't have an overwhelming numerical advantage, he can win. I think he should try to follow any attacks by Boonen AND then work with him. Had he worked with Boonen at Flanders, he at least would have been on the podium there. |

Flecha can't win. He doesn't have the sprint if it comes down to a small group and he's not powerful enough (and not a good time trialist) to make it solo. The only way he could win is if he's in a group that doesn't have Boonen, Pozzato, Haussler, Hushovd and a few other sprinters in it. |

what about a late attack as O'Grady 2 years ago can't that work out for him?

By that logic, Van Petegem, Tafi, Ballerini, Tchmil and many others would never have won the race |

plus if he comes on the velodrome with only one rider in his back and that is not Boonen he might have a chance. Still can't forgot how Barredo was fooled by Burghardt in the Tour last year. And with some luck he can even beat Boonen

Go Cancellara!! Nah, Saxo Bank won't win, but I see a top 5 lurking for Breschel. He has a good sprint kinda like Maaskant. Anyway, think Boonen will take it.
(Btw Flecha is a good puncheur/fighter as well, and remember seeing him in a couple of top 10 sprints in TdF) |

he was there because he was helping Freire. Ussualy in the Tour he brings Freire at the front of the pack.

Hmm... it sure will be an exciting race if the rain comes down.
It is kinda hard to look past Boonan but then look at what happened in the G-W in the week, everyone was making Cavendish the favourite there and so much more can happen in the Paris - Roubaix.
I keep looking at the Cervelo Test Team, thinking gee they have some cards to play there. Hamm, Hauss, Hush.
Then there is Quickstep - Boonan, Chava, Weylandt, Devoulder.
and Columbia/Saxo bank have a number of wild cards too.
I am going to go for a sentimental choice though in Flecha - of the veterens he seems to be the one showing some kind of form. I think he would have the beating of a fair number of riders in a sprint. |

he could be in the top 10 but he won't win... |
