zero I wouldnt say, but really small indeed. if there's gonna be a spint, it's gonna be a small group. say 50 riders max.
Every year the final group gets smaller due to....well, you know. It's the same reason why breakaways make it more easily in every race each year that passes....
2003: 70 riders
2004: 60 riders
2005: 50 riders
2006: 70 or so, but the race was much slower than usual because more teams than usual had good sprinters
2007: 40-ish riders
2008: same route as this year. Much harder, everyone dropped, race fragments.

that is absolutely true, yes. but there's always a small chance its not impossible all riders in a small groupe are too tired to ride away, so then it could end in a sprint (if a few teams have more then one rider in the groupe to chase anyone down) |

The selection of Quickstep for Milan-San Remo:
Barredo
Boonen
Chavanel
Davis
Pineau
Tossato
Velo
Wijnants
So they're either hoping Boonen will win the sprint or that Chavanel can evade the sprint. |

Hehe, although it could be quite interesting to actually see a duel between the two on the line

You are one step away from sounding exactly like Levi4life who once called the three biggest favourites at the Cyclocross WC, the three americans participating.
And i mean that in a bad way of course

Sorry, I still think there's no chance of a sprint if the Manie is in.

Gilbert and Flecha to launch threatening attacks late on, only for someone like Chavanel to nick the win. |

QST has a nice setup, I'm cheering for Davis even though it'll be difficult for him with Boonen, Barredo and Chavanel blocking his chances...

This is shame...Milano- San Remo should be sprinters race...we have nice classics already |

It's because of construction work. If all goes well, the route will be back to normal next year
I hate it when organisers add climbs on purpose to make it less likely for a sprint (like they're going to do with Paris-Tours).
The only thing it does, is ruins the race. Paris-Tours is a different race. They're going to make it the same as all the other races. It sucks. They're making it so much worse. It's stupid.

I'm the opposite. I think the add of Le Manie makes the race more interesting. But I would prefer the original finish straight compared to the alternative one we have now. It's to easy to attack with those added curves.
