lol RJC, Thruxton 3rds race was hell- god knows what it would have been like in the e/1/2 race. The wind was brutal- I missed the split and left it a lap too late to try and bridge across, so rode about 10 miles by myself. When the second bunch caught me again on the second to last lap I sat up and quit. I wasn't guna sprint for 21st place...
You probably saw me I was in the Sotonia jersey... |

Hell as well. Just colder and wet/hailing. I can't say I saw much of your race, I was sat in the car attempting to keep warm. It was a complete waste of £23 quid or so.

I wouldn't have turned up late... but the driver decided to. And he didn't tell me until I was in the car on the way.

According to my teammate my Cosmic Carbone SL's arrive tomorrow, just in time for San Dimas Stage Race. Mavic is also providing a couple Disc wheels for the team to use in TT's. BMC donated some of their old trainers.
My team got a new van and trailer. I spent sunday, with Gavin Chilcott at the BMC service course putting racks on the roof of our new van, uding the exact same thule set up on the BMC van. My teammate fantasized what we would take if Gavin told us to pick something and go home with it. He picked a TT01 while I chose a package of hot chocolate Clif recovery mix
More seriously i would have taken a Racemaster SLX, characterized by Taylor Tolleson as the best bike he has ever ridden.

I can get all Mavic stuff at dirt cheap (my shops a Mavic dealer), and if I don't get a new bike at the end of the year I'm going to get a pair of Ksyrium Elite's |

Yeah, Bontrager's are pretty nice on my side of the street.
You guys probably have a lot more nice stuff than us. We are a family store, selling mostly hybrids and low-end mountain bikes. |

I have to say, Bontrager are problably better than Roval.
In fact we have a new guy at our place. He comes from trek. Unfortunatly for you, he says that Specialized is much better. But of course, having a trek he has some XXX Lite but wants to put them on an SL2
We are entering some messenger races next year i think. We are gonna trick some Fixies out and have a class laugh |

As mentioned in the your cycling thread, this thread is so that people can post race reports, results, pictures and any other relivant info about their racing. It just stops the your cycling thread getting all clogged up and leaves it free for people to really talk about their cycling.
so feel free to post anything you want as long as it's related to your racing.
good luck guys, hopefully we'll all get some good results this year.
I'm sorry you two, but I pretty much hate chat about equipment, and you both love taking over the wrong threads. Surely you can just use the Smoothie vs Deadpool one that was made a bit ago?
Cheers.

First ever race , 25th out of 120, not bad , I'm a 4th cat junior (a non-dangerous one), youngest in the race, I thought I did well?
Racing every weekend until the end of May now |

if you can prove your results with a results sheet then yes. just post the link to the results here and i'll put you on the leaders board as our only points scorer so far. as your in southampton i'm guessing it was a bc race so the results should be up on the bc website somewhere, or on the website of the club/organisation that ran the race. also post some pictures if you have any so we can see you in action.
for all the rules have a look at my post on the first page. |
