Well I hadn't exactly planned it but some riders wage demands were simply out in the bushes...
Burghardt kept asking for 800.000+, and when I offered 300.000 he wanted a huge sallary boost, so for once he is free... |

If all goes well, (I have one rider yet unsigned in round 3 of negotiations) I should have just over 1 million to improve my team in transfers. |

My budget will probably be quite limited, unfortunately. But then again, the salary cap does what it was supposed to do: It gives us an incitament to get rid of high-profiled riders. |

Indeed it does... There will be a massive amount of free agents this year! |

One question: If you offer a salary to a rider equivalent to the salary in the wage demanded column, they will always accept?

Yes...
Another question.
If I decide to fire a rider, when I see the free agents list, how much do I pay? And do I pay that amount out of my wage budget, or can I use the money saved from last year? |

The penalty for firing riders will be decided upon when we start planning out all the rules for the transfers, but it will almost certainly come from the normal budget, and not the salary cap |

Alright. According to that. What exactly does the salary Cap mean? |

Um....
The salary cap is the thing that limits ProTour teams to 3 million on rider's wages/salaries and a limit of 2.5million for Continental teams |

Alright thanks. Just wanted to have it cleared out, so I didn't spent 3mil in case I could only use 2,8 or so...
Are all PT teams waged the same overall? I mean, I have riders on 800.000, 380.000, 65.000 and so on. It all adds up to an amount at around 4,5mil or so. Is that amount the same for every team, or only for us, with high waged riders, from last season?
I mean Marcus Burghardt for instance wanted somewhat 800.000, that amount should pretty much only exist for Tom Boonen or so... |

I'm definatly not gonna resign all. too many old guys. I do hope though I'll be able to afford the big guns... but those negiotiations are gonna have to cut the wages down a lot to achieve that, AND to have a little left to buy some new riders... |
