(I play on Hard btw)
Meanwhile we also got some sponsors
Kaching.
and then off to New Zealand for the Tour of Wellington.
Stage 1/7:
Squad: Kuphaldt, Bewley, Sergent, King, Bradshaw, Campbell, Baumann and Komori
We are one of the few teams here that sends a large squad and this can really favour us during this tour. Even though winning it all seems difficult because of the tough 3rd stage we can win some stages if we play it smart. And that's just what we do
With 2 laps to go its Sam Bewley who gives it a go!
In the back the remaining riders try to sabotage the chase which is led by Slipstream. But Bewley is going strong and when Slipstream decides its time for other teams to chase it's all over.
And so Sam Bewley wins the 1st stage for Livestrong!
Result
01. Sam Bewley Trek Livestrong 53'22
02. Shawn Milne Team Type 1 + 26
03. Benjamin Bradshaw Trek Livestrong s.t.
04. Blake Caldwell Garmin - Slipstream s.t.
05. Ben King Trek Livestrong s.t.
Stage 2/7:
Will Trek Livestrong dominate yet again? it's a totally different stage with some hills along the way which may prove to be difficult for most of our riders except Kuphaldt who is the best of the team when it comes to climbing. With Sam Bewley in the lead it's time for our team to pull the strings
Livestrong controlling the pace in New Zealand
To our own surprise there are only a few attacks and most of them are just about the KOM points. And so it seems to go down to a sprint, Slipstream and Team Type 1 put up a fast pace, but then they stop...and so my boys smell an opportunity
Kuphaldt goes to the front so he can launch Bewley
No one sees them coming, and since the pace is so slow and Kuphaldt is going so fast its race leader Bewley who gives his fellow teammate the ok to go for it himself!
Kuphaldt attacks with a mere 10 kms to go!
Slipstream and Team Type 1 then start chasing but they are just a tad too late as Kuphaldt stays in front of the sprinting horde and wins!
And thats number 2 for Trek Livestrong as Kuphaldt wins!
In the back Baumann even wins the sprint with Bewley ending 3rd, the competition truly sucks!
Result:
01. Taylor Kuphaldt Trek Livestrong 3h27'04
02. Ryan Baumann Trek Livestrong s.t.
03. Sam Bewley Trek Livestrong s.t.
04. Shawn Milne Team Type 1 s.t.
05. Gert Dockx Team Columbia - High Road s.t.
01. Sam Bewley Trek Livestrong 4h19'58
02. Taylor Kuphaldt Trek Livestrong + 34
03. Shawn Milne Team Type 1 + 36
Dwight K. Schrute: 'I'm not a hero. Im just a mere defender of the office. You know who is a hero? Hiro from Heroes. That's a hero. And Bono'.

The screenshots look stunning - and I'm quite impressed with the results, not to mention the secondary sponsors that you managed to get. |

He has already writen that he play on hard. And nice results, normally Garmin has a great team in ToW, but doesn't look like it here

yeah, at mine they sent Danielson who just dominated the whole race. how are your riders in the hills for the hilly stages that will really decide the tour? |

Yeah i know he did, i just think the results might have been a little bit unrealistic...

Well I know that it certainly isn't realistic but I guess im lucky that Slipstream send a weak team, their leaders are Patour, Duyn and Martin. Should I not attack then for the sake of realistic results?
And well my riders aren't that good on the hills, except for Bewley, Baumann (Both great form on stage 2) and Kuphaldt everyone was dead after that last hill because of a high pace set by Duyn. So on the next stage we will just have to try to keep on for as long as we can. And then we can still try to attack on a flat stage with our best ranked rider then.

Stage 3/7:
Squad: Baumann, Bewley, Kuphaldt, King, Bradshaw, Sergent, Komori and Campbell
The toughest stage of this tour brings us some hills and while it seems sure that Bewley will lose his leadersjersey today the question is who will take it from him. Nothing happens as expected until the final hill when it's an Ukranian rider that attacks
Valeriy Kobzarenko is the first one to attack!
And then it takes a few seconds before others respond
Daniel Martin goes after him with Dockx in his wheel
Where are the Livestrong riders?
There is one! Kuphaldt attacks and joins Wilmann and Niyonshuti
Dockx blew himself up and and so we have 2 riders up front
Martin and Kobzarenko going strong while Kuphaldt leads the chasing group
The gaps in the back are small but up front Martin and Kobzarenko are increasing their lead, they would eventually grab more than a minute over the chasers. But who is going to win today and take over the lead from Sam Bewley?
Kobzarenko and Martin are making this more than exciting!
And so the judges had to come in, who won?
Result:
01. Valery Kobzarenko Team Type 1 3h26'35
02. Daniel Martin Garmin - Slipstream s.t.
03. Frederik Wilmann Joker Bianchi + 1'06
04. Taylor Kuphaldt Trek Livestrong s.t.
05. Adrien Niyonshuti MTN Cycling s.t.
Kobzarenko takes over the lead as Bewley loses more than 3 minutes
Stage 4/7:
As usual there are no attacks, but then we reach the final hill and out of the blue it's race leader Kobzarenko who attacks!
There goes Kobzarenko!
But ofcourse there are some guys who react
Martin leads the attacks with Minkov by his side
Once they are at the top Kobzarenko looks behind him and stops as he doesnt seem to think that it's worth trying to stay up front with Slipstream working hard. But Kuphaldt on the other hand does want to take the risk and goes for it
Kuphaldt blows past Kobzarenko on the downhill section
And would you look at that, Slipstream works hard but Kuphaldt has alot of energy left in the tank!
Will Kuphalt make it or will the sprinters take him down?
Kuphaldt doesn't slow down but the sprinters are closing in on him, but when he's past the final corner he knows that he won't win any time today but that he will win his 2nd stage and that the difference between him and Martin/Kobzarenko has become smaller.
Kuphaldt wins as he beats Slipstream who end 2, 3, 4 and 5
Result:
01. Taylor Kuphaldt Trek Livestrong 2h33'54
02. Hans Dekkers Garmin - Slipstream s.t.
03. William Frischkorn Garmin - Slipstream s.t.
04. Kilian Patour Garmin - Slipstream s.t.
05. Lucas Euser Garmin - Slipstream s.t.
01. Valery Kobzarenko Team Type 1 10h21'01
02. Daniel Martin Garmin - Slipstream + 8
03. Taylor Kuphaldt Trek Livestrong + 46

thanks for all the reactions, and yes fyi, it's freezing here in Wellington
@Wacko, I thought I made a screen but I believe he had about 72 HILL, 71 MO...screen will come next time.
Stage 5/7:
Squad: Baumann, Kuphaldt, King, Bradshaw, Campbell, Bewley, Komori and Sergent
A short stage trough the city of Masterton, Kuphaldt wasnt feeling well and so attacking had no use today. The result was a mass sprint and our hopes were set on young Ryan Baumann, but he just came up short.
Hans Dekker wins the sprint in front of Baumann and Milne!
Result:
01. Hans Dekkers Garmin - Slipstream 55'14
02. Ryan Baumann Trek Livestrong s.t.
03. Shawn Milne Team Type 1 s.t.
04. Masaaki Kikuchi EQA - Meitan Hompo - Graphite Design s.t.
05. Joe Eldridge Team Type 1 s.t.
Stage 6/7:
A prologue, I never take screens of TT's so I didnt take them this time aswell. We have some pretty decent TT'ers in our team and Bewley was one of them, he eventually was the best rider of the day for our team as he ended 3rd. Daniel Martin ended 2nd and surprisingly the win went to the South African rider Kevin Evans. Meanwhile Baumann won some time and is now 4th in the GC behind Kuphaldt who is still 3rd, 28 seconds behind Kobzarenko. The Ukranian almost finished last and is now 2nd, 42 ticks behind Daniel Martin.
Result:
01. Kevin Evans MTN Cycling 14'35
02. Daniel Martin Garmin - Slipstream + 1
03. Sam Bewley Trek Livestrong + 3
04. Kilian Patour Garmin - Slipstream s.t.
05. William Frischkorn Garmin - Slipstream + 7
Stage 7/7:
The final stage, it took place in downtown Wellington and Kuphaldt had to attack in order to go up a spot in the GC. But we didnt decide to attack, we waited and then all of a sudden with 10 kms to go a group of 10 riders was formed!
2 Team Type 1 riders and 2 Slipstream riders in front of 6 Livestrong riders!
Their lead increased, 30 seconds, 40 seconds, and so it seemed like Kuphaldt could have even won the whole thing. But Martin smelled the danger and upped the pace in the back. Up front there was a sprint, Baumann beat Dekkers this time but again he ended 2nd as Milne was the one who beat him this time. The pack comes in 1 minute after the group and so Martin still wins the tour while Kuphaldt ends 2nd and Baumann also wins enough time for a podium spot.
Result:
01. Shawn Milne Team Type 1 1h00'17
02. Ryan Baumann Trek Livestrong s.t.
03. Hans Dekkers Garmin - Slipstream s.t.
04. Jesse Sergent Trek Livestrong s.t.
05. Taylor Kuphaldt Trek Livestrong s.t.
01. Daniel Martin Garmin - Slipstream 12h32'15
02. Taylor Kuphaldt Trek Livestrong + 11
03. Ryan Baumann Trek Livestrong + 21
04. Valery Kobzarenko Team Type 1 + 42
05. Shawn Milne Team Type 1 + 58
