I cherish my farmers tan every year. I still have some colour differentiation left.

tan lines are a thing of beauty to be admired. It takes many long hours in the saddle to achieve them (at least it does in England) and you should wear them with pride

I always farmer tan, which leaves me with, a body completely white (not totally after I was down in the south but still), and clompletely white feet (the south haven't left much of an impact here).

How about which oil do you use? Good ol' baby oil for me (with a hint of aloe vera!)

are you talking about in you under shorts when you race or on your legs? i use baby lotion to stop my nuts getting sore, esp on long turbo sessions.
When you think about all the crap you have to put up with to race at a decent level i do sometimes wonder why i bother at all |

Well, you can ask, but I sure as hell can't tell ya! I can't read french drug names, or stuff likes that. I presume as it came from a "reputatable" source, that it didn't have any performance enhancing materials in it....

rjc: are you talking about wearing the baby oil during races or just to generally look after your legs? I try to use a moisteriser and an exfoliator on my legs after i shave to try to reduce in-grown hairs (very painful and ugly looking) but don't wear anything on them while i'm racing. would you recommend it?
And on the shaving front i did a bit of research and found that veet do veet for men, which i'm guessing can deal with thicker and denser hair. Hopefully it'll do the trick but knowing my luck i'll just be allergic to it
Just realised that this is turning into a really fruity thread

lol, im not a doper as i can claim ignorance! i dont read french that well! and i believe its a harmless cream.
i use baby oil for races. better for me than warm up oils or sprays. its like the heat setting between leg warmers and bare legs.
0-15 degrees C = leg warmers
15-20 = baby oil
20+ = baby oil to look cool or nothing

Also, try brushing your legs down in the shower every day to prevent ingrowning hairs. I, luckily, don't suffer from them as I have fair hair... but it does help.

I don't know you, but I find this thread kind of gay. Not to talk about the other one about cyclists legs.

How so? This is a perfectly relevant conversation occuring within a community were the social norm is to shave legs. ANd it is a scientific fact that women find shaved legs sexy
