Istrian Spring Trophy

Stage 1

This Croatian stage race consisting of 4 stages is going to start off with a short prologue. The first real time trialer who got off was Martin Mortensen and he didn't dissapoint, he took the lead and set a pretty good time.

Pretty soon after that it was time for me to start, and I was pretty nervous because I wanted to do a great race.

I gave it all I had from the beginning.

I was pretty statisfied when I crossed the line as 13th, 25 seconds slower than Mortensen. Next star to cross the line was Mitja Mahoric, he sat a great time and took the lead from Martin.

But Mahoric wouldn't be todays winner, instead his team mate Kvasina took over the lead at the finish.

A new leader!

Next up was the Norwegian supertalent Edvald Boasson Hagen, he rode good, but not good enough. He crossed the finish line as 2nd.

Norways next superstar.

But Boasson couldn't hang on to take the 2nd place, Rene Andrle ruined it. He rode great and crossed the line at the same second as Kvasina, but he was given the 2nd.

A pretty good start for me, I lost 30 seconds to Kvasina but I didn't finish last. That's a step forward.
