Absolutely sick signing. Had to keep my trigger finger away from making a bid there Grin

But he ended up in a perfect team for him to grow. Congrats!

Great signing at a great wage indeed, happy to see him go to a regional team! Guess you found at least something in your direction after all Wink

We were in search of a GC captain – and we found one at Kraftwerk who wanted to part ways with Suranga Ranaweera. He’s our new record transfer with a fee of 1.3M, but as he’s only 29 years old and on a decent 235k wage he could well stay with us for some time – as long as he actually contributes the scoring for us to stay in PCT. Not sure he'll be at the ToA this year though as he didn't even get one photo from there in the previous years.

Good signing! Well done. Can't believe his wage is that low

Congrats on winning the race for Ranaweera. Solid rider with a great wage and age.

Hopefully Ranaweera has a big bounce back season, but he's definitely a good solid leader to have Smile

Ranaweera is awesome, and with his wages is a terrific future bet - if you did relegate he's keepable and would dominate the CT. Plus Costiou as raw talent. Good stuff so far.

Thibault Pinot needs no introduction as he’s always been one of the most beloved riders not only in France but the entire cycling community (and for us, too). We hope we can give him a (probably) last hooray at the Tour (if we’re given a wildcard), but it’s not only for nostalgia that we signed him for a reasonable wage of 85k. Though he already has declined twice (and thus is no typical transfer target for us) he’s still a useful climber in his own right, so we hope to see him not only support Ranaweera in the mountains, but also chase some stages or KoMs on his own.

Laurence Pithie joins us on loan from Lidl Cycling. We will pay his full wage of 190k in exchange for a nice 480k fee – and a nice versatile rider who should actually do well on most terrains despite being a neo-pro. And as he already spent his devo-time in France he also won’t have any problems to fit in.

We bid farewell to Felix Gall, who – despite only being with us for one season – has the most wins for the team and probably the biggest one-race achievement with his phenomenal ToA last year. He leaves us in a rider swap and will ride for our friends at Kraftwerk Man Machine where he’ll not only fit in well as an Austrian in a German team, but also joins a team famous for its ToA devotion. We can’t think of a better fit for him and wish him and his new team all the best!

Antti-Jussi Juntunen joins us on the minimum wage as part of the Gall swap and brings 510k with him. He initially wasn’t included in the trade, but as he would have been sacked anyway we opted to take care of him and help him in his development instead of sending him into potential unemployment. He also fits well in our tradition of punchy riders, so hopefully he will learn some tricks from our leaders there.

Paul Lapeira was on top of our list pre-transfers and we finally were able to persuade him to join us for a 160k wage after a longer battle with quite some other teams. He’s actually not new on the circuit, but still gets only his first pro-contract after a recent push in development. His skillset in general is similar to the one of Costiou, meaning he could be developed into all kinds of cobbler-sprinter-puncheur hybrid or a real Jacques of all trades.

Rui Oliveira continues our tradition of punchy sprinters and will probably be APPs or Teuns' lieutenant or our secondary leader for many hilly races. He joins us on a wage of 110k.

Maxime Daniel was the best cobbler available in Free Agency and he’s French, so it’s no surprise he was a main target for us once we decided to join the fun in the cobbles races – we actually were quite happy once we learned his former management at Lampre wasn’t pleased with his performances last season and planned to not resign him. And though he’s already declined once on top we had to pay some 390k in wage to get him. We’ll rely on his performances on the cobbles to stay in PCT, but with many of last year’s rivals leaving the division to PT (and even CT) he could actually contribute well.

Signing Welay Hagos Berhe was a no-brainer once we saw he was available for the minimum fee at his short-term stay at Newton Foundation. It took literally only minutes from him being offered to us sealing the deal for this talented rider. He still has some development in front of him, but he’s on minimum wage and will end as a good stage racing domestique while being useful already, so we don’t mind having to develop him.

Lewis Askey joins us on a 90k wage for a 100k fee from CT outfit Babymetal. We think that’s a bargain given he’s only on level 2 yet and will develop into a really good cobbler. And as we're finally building a cobbles squad, we think he’ll be a key rider there once fully developed. Plus he already knows the French lifestyle from his stint in a French devo-team, so he definitely fits in.

Conor Dunne is the third and last of our low-volume shopping spree. The Irish joins us from Glanbia (where else?) on a 60k wage and 65k fee. He’s already 32, but he has a rather unique combination of stage racing and cobbles skills that immediately appealed to us given our new leaders in both categories.

Alvaro Hodeg will be our lead sprinter for this season. The Colombian joins us from Minions in a swap deal with Jiang. He’s a decent, though not great option for mass sprints and will be our sprint option for stage races as we try to avoid the flat classics as long they don’t have cobbles. His decent wage of 90k as well as his age of 28 could give him a longer stay with us if he proves to be able to get the occasional result, but most of all he gives us some Latin-American representation which we sought of after our big results in Argentina last season.
