I have the feeling there might be some riders who wanna leave the sunny and warm latin america for coming back home. We should discuss this in the future!

Expected wage increases after a stupendous season from the riders. Lots of riders made fully or partially available, so looks like it will be a busy transfer window for you. Looking forward to our talks as always

The Man, The Myth, The Matti The news is out. After coming very close to leaving us already last season, this time we will really part ways with our best rider ever. He has been our highest scoring rider in every of the three seasons he was with us, but no longer fits in the plans of the new sponsors An overview of his legendary Los Pollos career is the goodbye he deserves.
I remember the day as if it was yesterday. Woke up on the tenth of September in 2021 and saw a leading bid of 300k on Matti Manninen. "Just because he had one good season in PCT they're willing to give him 300k, that's crazy for an 81 sprinter with the classic pcm sprint lottery.", I thought to myself. Two days later, somebody went 320k on him. In the meantime Los Pollos had secured the Zmorka and Spilak signings, and with second sprinter Maksimov on the way we figured it was worth the gamble. Our 400k bid on Manninen was the final one, as he was officially ours on September 13th, 22:23 Belgian time.
And the man started winning. His first race was the Tour Down Under. Stage 1? Check. Stage 2? Check. Green jersey? Check. Second in GC, even though the race was supposed to be for puncheurs? Check.
First win for Matti in our colours
And he was still very hungry. First he won his home race, the C1 Hanko classic, and only a couple of days later he also won the PTHC classic Riga - Jurmala. PTHC really was his things, as stage wins in the Deutschland Tour and SAA Tour d'Afrique followed as well. He finished his LPH debut season with a staggering amount of 1068 points, leading to a third individual place and sending the team to PT after only two seasons of existing.
Whereas the team never really did superb in PT, one guy simply kept on rocking. Just like the year before, he came in with a bang. First stage in Qatar? Check. Fifth stage in Qatar? Check. GC win as well? Of course, check. Shortly after that he also performed amazing in San Remo and just kept on being consistent throughout the year.
But of course two of his most prestigious wins came in France. With some very tough competition in the Tour de France he still managed to grab two stage wins and just came short for the green jersey. Manninen finished his PT season with 1256 points, far outscoring riders on wages almost double as much as him.
Matti winning stage 8 in the 2022 TdF in the green jersey
And then came his final Mexican season, the 2023 PCT. He wanted to give his Mexican sponsors a season to remember, and boy he did. First of all he won the most important race for them, the Circulo de Juarez, with great consistency, a stage win and also the green jersey. Then followed a lot of stability, almost always finishing inside that top-5, and then he decided to really give back the money he had been receiving the past years. We had two PTHC sponsor top-5 goals in Deutschland and Ras Tailteann. So what did Matti do? Win a stage in both races and finish on the GC podium. Even in a race with a 27km time trial! What a legend.
Matti finished the season as best LPH scorer for the third year in a row, with his second individual pct podium in two seasons, and was thus a vital part of the promoting squad yet again. Not even keeping in mind the big amount of top-3 and top-5 finished, Matti has won 17 (!) races for us in the past seasons, and that on a wage of +-400k every time. The man, the myth, the Matti. The Flying Finn is ready to conquer the world of cycling again next year, sadly this time it won't be in our colours anymore.
Matti with his penultimate win for the team

Matti the Manninen is a special sprinter who I've liked for a long time, consistently delivers on a reasonable wage - an all-too-rare trait for sprinters with many top sprinters not even having one of those traits. Sad news that he's leaving you but very cool tribute for him. Sure you can wipe your tears with the wads of cash from his sale

I don't think I have seen any sprinter be as consistent across seasons, divisions, teams and even PCM game versions as Manninen. Despite Zmorka also being in the squad, he is definitely the best signing you've made so far, given how much of a lottery sprints have become in recent seasons. It will be very weird to see Matti ride for some other team but he leaves with all sorts of records to his name!

Manninen has been quite a centerpiece for your squad over the years, huge success story for you. Will be curious where he ends up if he indeed switches teams...

Matti is awesome, great to see what he has done for you! Good luck for finding a worthy home for his last (maxed) dance, I guess Higuita is already looking forward to all the cash you'll get for the Flying Finn

Thank you for the wholesome posts on Matti. I guess in hindsight I see why jandal was so extra positive about him
But now we want to take you with us to let you know about our first signing! A rider we liked last season and went at almost 150k, but did miss a year of development because of a disband. Nevertheless, we thought he was still worth signing, and used a special bid of 83k to make it happen. Ladies and gentledudes, please welcome Finn Fisher-Black!
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | XP | | Finn Fisher-Black | 64 | 63 | 64 | 64 | 66 | 71 | 63 | 60 | 60 | 71 | 69 | 67 | 74 | 2.99 | | Finn Fisher-Black | 70 | 63 | 67 | 72 | 72 | 77 | 69 | 60 | 66 | 75 | 69 | 68 | 82 | 4.100 | | Finn Fisher-Black | 68 | 68 | 69 | 72 | 72 | 78 | 69 | 60 | 60 | 73 | 73 | 68 | 82 | 4.100 |
As you can see, our first kiwi ever should be able to become one of the best prologue riders in the peloton. Still some time to decide whether we opt to make his flat reach the 70-stat, or whether we experiment a bit and go for a more versatile approach.

First deals have been confirmed by now. First of all we would like to say thank you and goodbye to Matti Manninen, Luca Sterbini, Beka Nareklishvili and Ruben Zepuntke. Matti, who will for ever be remembered as an absolute legend, has joined Xero Racing. Sterbini, who was with us from our first season when he joined us from Generali goes back to Southern Europe as he joins Euskadi-Murias, and the duo of Beka and Zepuntke will go for glory in CT as well at Team Würth MODYF. They joined for 650k two seasons ago and were part of our bounceback team, and have now been sold for 2m.
Time to announce some of our new guys, who will try to help in our PT survival bid.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | Age | | Ryan Eastman | 70 | 82 | 71 | 77 | 76 | 75 | 76 | 56 | 62 | 69 | 73 | 66 | 73 | 32 | | Daniel Eaton | 75 | 62 | 69 | 77 | 74 | 76 | 74 | 67 | 62 | 68 | 70 | 66 | 77 | 31 | | Kristoffer Halvorsen | 76 | 58 | 65 | 63 | 74 | 71 | 80 | 70 | 81 | 80 | 70 | 61 | 68 | 28 |
Ryan Eastman and Daniel Eaton join us from the Irish Glanbia outfit. Eastman will share GC leadership together with our local boy Orluis Aular, with the new addition clearly going to the more (T)TT heavy races. Eaton will be a part of our TTT cog, with two more years in his prime.
Kristoffer Halvorsen's journey in the Baltics at DK Žalgiris has now ended, as he is our Matti substitution. We don't expect him to have the same points outcome, definitely not in PT with the competition there this year, but at least he has 5 more years in his prime, and therefore helps with making the squad a bit younger again.

Feels like you replaced Manninen with a similar rider but younger. Which is always a good idea. The two americans are nice additions too.

Think the Manninen and Halvorsen deals made all three parties very happy. Halvorsen is great work by you to get a much younger version of Matti, not excited he followed his Scandinavian rival up to PT though

Eastman and Halvorsen are excellent pickups who should contribute well for you. Eaton will add good depth to the TTT unit.

@people: Indeed, several parties happy with the deals mentioned in the previous update. Speaking about adding good depth to the TTT unit, it's now also time to announce..
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | Age | | Bilguunjargal Erdenebat | 75 | 60 | 65 | 78 | 77 | 78 | 74 | 51 | 59 | 64 | 69 | 68 | 79 | 27 |
We are glad to have been able to replace the 32 year old Luca Sterbini with Mongolian time trial champion Bilguunjargal Erdenebat, coming over from Team Spark NZ. Erdenebat is 5 years younger than Sterbini, has a better flat rating, better physicals and also better prologue. We are happy with this replacement, a rider who'll surely prove useful also in case of relegation, and like to thank our kiwi friends at both Spark and Xero to make this possible.
Speaking about friends, we made/stayed friends by loaning in three riders as well, who we will max out this season. The riders are:
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | Age | | Ben Healy | 67 | 71 | 72 | 69 | 74 | 70 | 67 | 51 | 60 | 66 | 72 | 65 | 64 | 24 | | Didier Merchan | 63 | 77 | 69 | 59 | 67 | 68 | 70 | 58 | 58 | 67 | 67 | 63 | 60 | 25 | | Yaroslav Parashchak | 70 | 68 | 75 | 58 | 70 | 70 | 71 | 58 | 60 | 72 | 73 | 67 | 58 | 24 |
Healy from Glanbia as an allround uphill domestique, Merchan from SEE Turtles as a climbing domestique and Parashchak from Popo4ever as Higuita domestique who could enjoy a free role here and there. We hope to make their season at Oxxo - Frisby an enjoyable one.

I'm sad I had to let Erdenebat go. Especially after rejecting so many offers and going through so much trying to keep him but we are moving away and it felt like the right time to do it. Especially for one kiwi legend
I hope he does incredibly for you and I hope he might get some training he really deserves that I couldn't give to him
Great signings so far! Really nice team growing

Excited to see Merchan in your colors next year. He was only willing to rider for great teams in even better jerseys... so he found the perfect place.
Can't wait to see how this year goes! Think you'll find some great success

A lot of nice and pricey additions to your team! Looks like you made a lot of money by selling some riders
Hopefully this will pay off and you can continue your run from last year in PT this year!
