The early predictions show Glanbia face struggle this year after last year’s disappointment, although MacC wishes to ask who won the Tour of America anyway?
He also wishes to blame the intern for not understanding what a renewals fine is. This fact might give you a clue as to why the transfer season did not go as planned....
Nevertheless this was always to be a rebuild year with 8 still developing riders on the roster and 3 more being “finished” at other teams this season.
Onto the positives and Glanbia is proud to present its leadership. In a change from tradition we do not have a single Stage Race leader but rather a more rounded leadership

Dylan Kennett proved himself a great scorer last year at PCT and will be asked to lead over numerous races and classics. His name is not pencilled in beside any particular goals, rather he is asked to score stage wins across the season. Look out for him in C1 races like Baltic Chain and Guadeloupe and anywhere where his prologue/sprint combo will be threat.
Ian Boswell’s job is to fill the gaping gap in Glanbia’s hilly classics team and again to score consistently in classics and stage races suited to his ability.
Tom David is to the cobbles what Boswell is to the hills. A departure for Glanbia to take on a leader in this field but he will have opportunities to lead and score in cobbled classics. He will also go to the ToA with the goal of winning a stage.
Kent Main will be our Stage race leader but will not go to the Tour of America. Instead, he’ll be asked to deliver ion week long races where his TT skill will be useful. He will have the full backing of Time Trial Team in races like Trentino- marked as a goal.
Michael O‘Loughlin was trained to put his TT abilities above the pack hopefully. He will target the Herald Sun Tour and the Olympia Tour.
Clearly, Glanbia will not dominate the TTTs this year but will still be competitive in this domain.
Expect a team along these lines:
