Surprised that Grosu actually held on to a podium position given how exposed he was. I guess the uphill finale played a role in that too though I guess it should have made him lose even more energy
Hard to say if it was van der Kooij's fault for launching him too early. I see Pedersen in the picture, but I can't tell if he was the one who finished his job too quickly or didn't help at all with the lead out.

With the position Silvestre was in, I briefly had hopes for more than 7th place, but with how close everything was, that's an absolutely adequate result. I'll take any points he can give us on these sprint stages, and be it only one or two.
Congrats Abhi, what a nice win for Vesely. And thanks for the report, kb!

Tight finish! Slightly surprised we didn't try for the breakaway, with no designed GC guy, neither one of the top sprinters on paper. Hoping we can get involved on the next stages!
And that's a very bad sign from Mohoric regarding his positioning. We lucked out there, but that feels like an accident waiting to happen, as I suspect the AI will continue to position him poorly on the flat stages.
Big win for Abhi and Vesely, congratulations! |

Definitely not happy with Bol's 12th place here. His usual problem of being slightly out of position, and here there unfortunately wasn't any space to move through. A big chance missed, given the slight uphill finish he usually loves.
On the positive side, both him and Errazkin were attentive, unlike some big puncheur names. Although I sure hope that the flat stages won't have a major impact on the GC...
Congrats to Abhi, really big win for you here!
And thanks for the report to kb, obviously ^^

Messy bunch sprint, congrats to Abhi on the win! Nice to see Coutinho in the mix for a bit of depth points, hoping for a podium tomorrow!

Not quite the same power from Kalaba this stage. Looking forward to the final stages.

Well Coutinho is consistent at least! Now onto the stages where I have 0 hopes. Maybe a cheeky Dzama break on stage 4 tho!

Disappointed with Grosu this time. He looked to be in a good position but was really slow at the end there.

Agree with SotD, good to see Gaviria winning. Congrats to Moser!
On our end, absolutely awful riding by Bol on the first two stages. Outside the Top 10 on stage 1, not even in the mix on day 2, clearly not worth sending him here. Our awful PTHC record continues, sadly... Definitely expected more from Bol who was doing well so far, but he seemes to have picked the more important races to be useless.
At least Errazkin was attentive again and apparently would have made that "front group" if gaps had indeed been given. But well, I guess he'll be out of it after getting dropped in the TTT anyway, just hoping for more than a zero-pointer...
Thanks for the report.

Zabel doing a good job of staying up there and tied for 3rd in points is quite good for him given the field.
Thanks for the reports KB and gratz to the winners.

Great preview!
Hope to see some fireworks from Lutsenko in the final stage.

Twi superb stages from Vesely, beyond our highest expectations for this race! We finally decided to bring him here after a lot of back and forth during planning, and it has paid off big time. Stage 1 was Vesely's first win in our colours and our first stage win of the season!
We know we'll fall out of GC contention after Stage 3 but this race is already a bug success. Let's see if the green jersey can stay with us till the end.
Congrats to Roman on Stage 2 and thanks for the reports!

Pretty good result today. Losing Koretzky was always a very likely scenario. It was sad to see Spanopoulos mess up though, as he should have been strong enough to keep up with Farantakis. He would have had an outside shot of something like a top 15.
I would really like to see Kiriakidis and Ioannidis get a good GC result for once. Fingers crossed.

Wtf... I don't quite get how and why we completely messed up this stage, but it's definitely an extremely disappointing result. 10th place here is absolutely awful, really no clue what was going on here. We're by far the slowest among the teams with a similar TT average; PCM must just be hating us in PTHC races. Really sucks to throw away another potentially strong stage result like that.
At least we're not completely out of contention in terms of GC - if the final stage is somewhat selective. But it definitely won't be the big result I was expecting pre-season (before knowing about the new TTT engine).
Congrats to Grieg on the stage win, and to Vesuvio and King Power for getting their GC contenders into prime position.

Not last one the TTT I mean technically we were, but majority of the team actually did pretty well

Ouch, Kinoshita losing a minute to the team. Knew there was a big chance of getting dropped but this is quite a loss. The rest of the team did well in the TTT so there is still hope for a GC.
