Ah, the Tour Down Under. The team arrived thoroughly jet-lagged - apart from Smoothie - who cycled all the way. There was some confusion as to where the race was to take place - Doddy headed to the nearest mine before we reminded him that its the Tour Down Under, not the Tour Underground.
With only 7 riders here, 1 man had a room all to himself. That was Waghlon, but he then moved into Jolly and Rodda's room instead and slept in the bath. All this was great preparation as we took to the startline of Stage 1.
Remarkably - we did well! Nearly winning!
