Thanks to all! Promotion feels good. I like have the PCT next to the name of my HQ as well as taking part in picking race bands. The most exciting part is the wage cap though Very excited to start transfers soon!

We think renewals went well. I think my issue is I have an emotional attachment to a lot of these riders since this was our promotion team. However, we need to move forward and build the best possible team. We are happy to look at offers for all these riders, however some of these riders definitely will not be leaving. Lets look at the main riders who most likely will be looking for a new home.
Joshua Edmondson - 31 Years Old - 120,000 € Wage
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | Age | 70 | 69 | 79 | 64 | 75 | 72 | 67 | 54 | 70 | 76 | 68 | 72 | 64 | 31 |
This guy has been a huge rider for us in the CT for many seasons however, he has had 2 tough years and we think he is better suited to the CT division or hill support. We would like to look for a new home for this rider and we feel he is best suited to be a CT Leader for 1 more season before his decline. Any new CT managers or older ones looking for a very good hill leader who has won many times in the CT, PM when transfers begin!
Maani Altanzul - 31 Years Old - 50,000 € Wage
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | Age | 72 | 65 | 69 | 70 | 68 | 73 | 78 | 55 | 78 | 75 | 59 | 63 | 75 | 31 |
Maani Altanzul is probably the longest standing rider for this team, however he is definitely better suited in the CT division. As much as I love having the Mongolian NC on my squad (It is a focus really) I want whats best for this rider as well. Maani is strong enough to fight for top 10s and is strong enough in the hills, sprints and TT to gain high GC and points classification finishes (depending on the race). Very low wage for this type of all rough rider. If you have interest let me know at the start of transfers.
All other riders are available for the right offer so send them through and lets talk!

Interesting choice to sell Watson. He’s a good match, solid stats and a good wage :-)

Interested to see how your team shapes up during this window. Some tough decisions to make and some which maybe could have been made during renewals but keeping domestiques is never a bad thing as signing in FA is often more expensive.
Always had and will have a connection to the team due to it being Kiwi . Maybe 1 day I’ll have to venture over to ANZ with my team as well but not just yet

Well its been a hard struggle to get him but we can finally announce our big FA signing. He is a massive talent and we cannot wait to see him develop and become a strong leader in a few years time!
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | 67 | 70 | 67 | 67 | 68 | 69 | 68 | 55 | 65 | 69 | 65 | 70 | 64 |
Age : 22 - Potential : 7 - Wage : 400k
We really went for Carlos. A whopping 400k wage for this young talent but when you see him in a few seasons time his wage will be understood! He is probably one of the biggest stage racing talents of his generation and we cannot wait to see him develop and grow and also win! He will be trained as a stage racer. We will do a full run down of our talents in a future post!

We really had to work hard to sign riders in FA this season. Hard slog for us to get anyone with overbids and things not going our way. But with the budgets of other teams getting smaller and luck, we managed to sign Carlos Rodriguez who will be a future leader of the squad. We have now found 2 more future talents that will help aid Carlos in future years but also have a chance themselves at times.
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | 71 | 68 | 66 | 63 | 67 | 71 | 66 | 57 | 67 | 68 | 62 | 73 | 62 |
Age : 22 - Potential : 5 - Wage : 80k
Reuben is a future great Kiwi cyclist that we can't wait to see in the future. He will be a great climber and domestique for the leaders of this team in future years. He will be a key piece of the squad in coming years however we will be looking to get him on loan this season to kickstart his career and development.
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | 62 | 60 | 58 | 67 | 67 | 64 | 71 | 63 | 60 | 68 | 68 | 67 | 67 |
Age : 22 - Potential : 4 - Wage : 50k
Battsengel continues our long line of Mongolian talents and riders that we have had since day 1. We love sticking to our heritage and thanks to the continued support from Golomt Bank we are able to fund our Mongolian riders. Battsengel is an up and coming TT rider and will be able to help our TTT team make a big step forward.
A future post will be made outlining all future abilities of our signings after their full development.

Very jealous of you bringing in the best climbing talent in the world and in NZ this year. Sure you don't really need to be shackling the future of post-Fouche NZ climbing to domestique duties

I really wanted Rodriguez, but in the end couldn't bring myself to commit so much that I felt it would put me in relegation danger. But he's found a good home here and I'm sure he'll bring you a lot of joy in the future! Thompson is a really good rider, too

Wow, congratulations on getting Rodriguez. Having PCT money feels good, eh? Also Thompson as a regional signing makes sense and is just a very solid future rider as well. Love to see the Mongolian dynasty growing too!

After missing out a few GC leaders we found one that looked very good to us! We have gone in hard for this rider and his wage is quite high but we believe he can lead us to some great victories and success this season in the PCT.
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | 64 | 81 | 72 | 73 | 75 | 74 | 75 | 51 | 59 | 66 | 62 | 65 | 73 |
Age : 35 - Potential : 7 - Wage : 300k
Madrazo is a top tier GC rider and while his abilities aren't what they used to be he is still very strong at the PCT level and can definitely compete! We are very excited to have this legend of the sport in the squad and can't wait to see what kind of results he can achieve with the team!
@Jandal7 - Not shackled at all ahaha. He won't only be a domestique I promise
@Cunego59 - A bit of a worry that I went too hard for him but only time will tell. Hopefully we have done enough to avoid relegation.
@Nemolito - PCT money is aweseome Thompson is a great talent and keen to see him develop and represent NZ and the Mongolians will always be apart of the squad. I hope I can make one of them a top cyclist! (Might have to go full Mongolian team at some point, if you can find enough Mongolian talents for me

Madrazo at 300k seems like a decent deal. It would be great if you could keep this talent core in PCT.

Certainly jealous of Carlos but had to focus on short-term survival in the PT over the long term. You can expect some big offers in the next few seasons though
Madrazo a great addition and, assuming he has no issues staying with the group on the flat roads, he’s certainly strong enough still to deliver some big results!

I was surprised to see you getting Rodriguez - often one has an idea which teams would priorize the signing and your name definitely didnt come up for him. That said, really good signing and fits especially great with a short term solution in Madrazo. Love that plan!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Carlos Rodriguez is a huge signing! I too was one of the chorus which were interested until he rapidly disappeared beyond our reach. Alongside Madrazo (another marquee!) the team is taking on a rather Spanish flavour. Very interested to see who else you bring in to round out the squad.

We continue our challenge to bring in a strong squad for the PCT this season. It has been a hard challenge for us letting go of riders who have been with the squad for a long time and brought us this promotion, but in order to move forward and grow the squad we had to sell these riders away.
Dusan Rajovic is heading back home to Cedevita after an incredible season with us and helping us get into the PCT in the first place. He was apart of a cash + rider trade.
Jhon Stiven Ramirez and new signing Kees Duyvesteyn are heading just down the road to Xero Racing for a season on loan.
Yuriy Vasyliv is heading to Team Popo4Ever p/b Morshynska in a cash + rider trade.
Joshua Edmondson and long serving member Maani Altanzul are heading back to the CT to ride for Crabbe-CC Chevigny.
Nick Schultz is finally heading home across the ditch to amaysim australia.com. After years of chasing him I finally gave in to tsmoha.
Regan Gough is heading on loan to Binance for the season.
Calvin Watson is on his way to Adidas-Eurocash in the CT division.
Vadim Pronskiy, who arrived in the deal for Vasyliv, is heading to DK Zalgiris in a cash deal.
Reuben Thompson is heading to Ekoi - Le Creuset on loan for the season.
We wish all the riders and teams the best!
We have been busy in FA this season. We have signed some big riders and we really needed to get some sprinters for the season. We identified a few and tried but failed on all except 2. Please welcome,
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | 74 | 61 | 66 | 66 | 72 | 67 | 74 | 61 | 80 | 76 | 62 | 63 | 66 |
Age : 34 - Potential : 6 - Wage : 80k
Leigh Howard is a massive regional signing for us. He has been a top sprinter for a while and yes he has lost some of that ability we still believe he can compete in the top of the PCT. He is a co lead sprinter with the next announced FA signing and between the two we believe they can get some excellent results!
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | 71 | 53 | 64 | 58 | 69 | 73 | 77 | 64 | 79 | 80 | 50 | 61 | 74 |
Age : 30 - Potential : 3 - Wage : 115k
Perera will also be our co-lead sprinter. He has a strong sprint and acceleration and hopefully he is strong enough to compete with the other sprinters. We are excited to see how this sprint team goes as we have strong lead outs as well.
Next post we will going through trade signings from other teams and potentially doing a final provisional squad release.

Congrats on Rodriguez, a great talent and as Knockout says not one you would have were the favorite for. Also the Rodriguez/Madrazo pairing is nice, a passing of the torch.
Got your sprinters just in time as they are getting very expensive here at the end of FA.
Good luck next year.

Rider Signings and Final (Almost) FA Action
After losing Edmondson and Watson, our hill squad did begin to lack slightly. We needed to action this and we believe we have improved this hill squad greatly! We have brought in 3 hill climbers from New Zealand and Australia to build on our hill squad. Let's welcome them in!
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | 71 | 67 | 81 | 75 | 71 | 71 | 66 | 51 | 67 | 77 | 64 | 64 | 75 |
Age : 34 - Potential : 7 - Wage : 350k
Jack Bobridge is an absolute legend of Oceanian Cycling as well as worldwide track cycling. He joins us to take over as hill leader as well as a strong key in the TTT squad. He will aim to get high GC finishes in hill and TT stage races as well as strong finishes in hill races. We are very excited to see how he goes and will try and attempt to get him a wildcard entry to the Tour of Tasmania so he can have 1 more crack at that race!
Now, his new domestiques.
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | 71 | 65 | 78 | 69 | 77 | 74 | 71 | 63 | 62 | 69 | 73 | 69 | 69 |
Age : 27 - Potential : 4 - Wage : 60k
We didn't think we would see the day were our Palmy boy came back home. Joel Yates has returned now MAXed! We intend to use Joel as our domestique for Bobridge but also to lead smaller races for himself and hopefully gain some nice victories or high finishes. We are very excited to Joel back in the squad!
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | 70 | 66 | 76 | 65 | 74 | 71 | 70 | 53 | 73 | 73 | 67 | 59 | 65 |
Age : 29 - Potential : 4 - Wage : 65k
Hayden has joined us as the final new domestique for Bobridge. We are excited to see his hill climbing ability but also his surprisingly strong sprint and acceleration as well. We hope we have created a strong new hill squad in the absence of our old hill squad and we cannot wait to see this new boys in action!
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | 68 | 74 | 73 | 76 | 68 | 64 | 73 | 53 | 64 | 74 | 74 | 69 | 72 |
Age : 32 - Potential : 4 - Wage : 80k
Another rider we are welcoming back this season is Patrick Bevin. A strong domestique and TT rider should give us plenty of help in the early stages of a mountain this season. He will be a key rider for Madrazo this season as well. If we can have Jordan Schleck perform this season we should have a strong mountain team to support leader Madrazo.
That is all for now. We will be announcing final riders in the coming days and then the provisional squad following that. We are happy with the moves we have made and hope to be able to perform well in the upcoming season and our first ever in the PCT.
