is there a spelling mistake or is it really rigoberto uran uran?
Rigoberto (name) URÁN (father's surname) URÁN (mother's surname). No errors, just the same surname for both parents, but remember we Spanish-speakers only use the first one to refer to people.
To English speakers: rry-go-BER-toe RAN

Most of those syllables are read quite differently by english speaking people. And it'd be hard to write it just like that since english is the language I know that uses the least variety of sounds.
Better just find a sound file/video of his name being said and post it, honestly |

Due to much insistence from the Portuguese anti-doping agency, the blood samples from the Volta a Portugal will be re-tested with the new CERA test |

My guess: none. The race was after the CERA urine test was made public. |

ah true, but how long does it stay in the system? because Kohl etc. were caught on a stage a few days after the test was anounced. So I am hopeful |

wtf, Sella's there. I thought he was sentenced already.
Sella was caught in an out of competition test after the Giro, so his Giro results will stand
And herein lies one of cycling's most incomprehensible rulings.
What makes it incomprehensible? You haven't proved that he was doped during the Giro (although it's, of course, very likely), therefore his results stand.
Yes, I can understand that from a legal point of view. I'd like, however, to see a little common sense applied: if you get caught doping at then all (at least recent) results should be taken away. I realise that such an action would prove a major problem for cycling in terms of deciding an actual winner for races at times, but something has to be done to take away any legacy cheating can make on the sport. |

well, normally they test after all victories so sella would have had to have a negative test during the giro. It is only complicated in this case because the test for CERA wasnt available during the giro |

lol...allowing "common sense" as evidence in a court of law, would be like a zillion times worse than all riders doping their hats full.

Lol news:
Tjallingii in running for Sexiest Vegetarian
Maarten Tjallingii of Team Silence-Lotto is in the running for the title of the Netherlands' "Sexiest Vegetarian," in a poll sponsored by a Dutch animal rights group Wakker Dier, in conjunction with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
Tjallingii, who turns 31 tomorrow, will ride for Rabobank next season. He is "a prime example that eating meat is not necessary for top athletes," stated Wakker Dier.
Wakker Dier holds the contest annually and selects its winners from various countries and continents. Last year's worldwide winners were singers Leona Lewis and Anthony Kiedis of the rock group Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Vegetarianism's strongest influence on cycling was the Linda McCartney Racing Team, which operated from 1998 to 2001. McCartney, who died in 1998, was the wife of former Beatles member Paul McCartney, and both were vegetarians. The team was to be composed strictly of vegetarian riders and support staff. Financial problems caused the team to cease operations in January 2001.
To vote for Tjallingii, or any of the other candidates visit www.wakkerdier.nl... (SW) |

On the second night of the six-day of Milan Bettini's goodbye is over prematurely. He couldn't go around a fall of Popovych and Roberts and flew against the wall. He was unconcscious and his helm was in pieces all over the track. He has been brought to the hospital in Milaan with several head wounds

Oh no.. I hope he will be ok. This is what happens when not so experienced riders do six days though. I hope he isn't too badly injured. |
