Crncevic had a nice prologue, but he wasn't the rider I hoped to see in that position. If it was Christodoulos or Penko I would feel a bit better about my chances to score a bit more.
We'll see how it goes, but my expectations are pretty low after stage 1.

That was exactly the result I was hoping from Choi when I selected him for this race. Let's see if he can hold it together on the hills, which we're hoping becomes hard now. All to play for still.
Congrats to Croatia and thanks for the report

A disappointing opener from Conci. Going to need a strong performance tomorrow in preparation for a miraculous final stage if we want to score well here. Here’s hoping!

Great start of the race with Mano and even Gidich in the top 10! If the hilly stage will be selective latter should be in the mix. |

Another good day for Haig and quite unexpected GC lead at this point! Nice to see him ans McCarthy at the front of the race (McCarthy will obviously lose his solid GC position easily). Haig needs another great day to hold off such riders as Phinney and Wirtgen, but I consider the race already a success, as long as he doesn't crack completely

Annoying to see Bobridge with legs to go on the hunt before the final climb, but struggling at the end and losing time when it actually mattered. He's now in that awful position, where he can gain one or two places with a superb ride, but can easily lose a handful of them with a subpar performance. We needed more here. Kinda need to lower my expectations I guess.

Wow, incredible how Keizer loses that much time on such an easy profile and when he was still with the leading group with like 3km left. Thanks for the great report again, Imladrik!

Terrible day for both Taylor and Tao. Now let's hope we do our ITT magic, a little nervous with so many great riders in front, especially Wirtgen.

Choi not strong enough on the hills, which is a shame and removes all possible hopes of a Top 10 for us. Still hopeful he can get into the Top 15 on the back of the ITT. Velasco tried, have to give him credit for that. Just wasn't strong enough to make a significant impact today.
Congrats to the winner and thanks for the report

Wirtgen did extremely well to make this somewhat interesting! Given the length of the final TT it doesn't seem realistic that he can keep Phinney behind, but atleast it could be fun. Haig isn't completely disastrous at TT's either. Geoghegan Hart though with a very poor showing
I gotta say though - kudos for beagle for bringing Bernal here. I would have expected that to be a complete waste of his racedays. Now he's a favorite for a GC top 5.
I guess not a lot of changes will happen due to the selective nature of stage 2, but I would expect Keizer into 8th place in the GC and thus making it a reasonable outing for Los Pollos

I don't think I regret the decision of not sending Pogacar here. Between the randomness of two ITTs and potentially losing 2-3 mins on the hill stage, there are simply too many things that can go wrong.
Saying that my best rider currently is a lvl 3 rider that can't TT. So I'm looking at another bad outing, even if it wasn't unexpected.

Could've been better but in the end it will probably be two GC top 10s, which is a very acceptable result. |

A terrible no good day for us, but top 10 for Reis and top 30 for Fernandes should be doable still, thatd be satisfactory

Looks like bringing here my full hilly squad paid off. Not only a stage win, but potentially a KoM jersey and a decent GC result. Not bad at all.
Had hoped for more from both Ponzi and Prado, looks like my team went all in for Sagan.
Thanks for the report, looking forward to the final stage.

Losing the second place by one second is a bit unfortunate, but of course I am happy with Haig finishing on the podium here! Three more than solid stages by him, including two stage podiums. I didn't really know, whether he would be a factor here or not, so scoring nice points in a race like this with just a few race days spent is obviously very nice!
McCarthy will hate me for every TT I'm sending him, it seems
Thanks for the nice reports and congratulations to especially those two, who finished ahead Haig

Had a bad feeling when Choi was completely missing from the report but then I saw he finished 9th on the stage, which was a very good effort, and moved up to 13th in the GC, which is about par for the course from him in this race!
Thanks for the reports and congrats to Croatia for the expected, if somewhat hard-fought win

Crncevic with a solid final TT to kinda save this race and gives us at least a decent amount of points.
Thanks for the reports.

T strikes back even with the other T a little lagging. Goal race secured, awesome reports red, what could've been better?

Zmorka and Sütterlin keep on slacking. Zmorka just outside the top-20 and Sütterlin not even top-75 :/ Keizer's final place in GC also rather disappointing after a good opening stage. Osorio with a surprisingly good result in the finishing time trial, which is nice to see from a self grown (growing) talent
Nothing to do against Phinney in the end, as expected.
Congratulations to all winners and people with a good race in general, and thanks for three great reports again to Imladrik

Good stuff, that is around 130 points for us, we take those. Reis still overperforming super hard in ITTs
