No time loss so a good start for a discipline that is probably Vasylivs weakest. Moving forward to stage 2!!

An excellent start from Schlegel! Maybe he'll account for his sins in Tachira. We aren't expecting much from tomorrow and the biggest challenge is Stage 3's TTT. The team will be relying on Frison to carry them, although only THJ (targeting white) and Schlegel (targeting yellow) are under 69 TT skill so we shouldn't lose too much time.

Oh well... Looks like Aregger is the 4th best sprinter here and hence by PCM definition doesn't car. Sucks to see your plans ruined by a stupid bug that would be so easy to fix. Losing out due to bad daily form/positioning is once thing, but dropping into that PCM black hole is just plain shit.
At least he did a good job on the hilly stage yesterday, which has different AI, so let's hope he can repeat that on stage 4. But green clearly isn't realistic with one stage lost.
On the upside, the three GC riders all finished in the stage Top25, with Mäder even taking over white. Only Rowsell throwing away a possible depth result stings a bit, but the others are far more important.
Congrats to Caja once more, your riders have really been incredibly lucky with stage wins so far this year.
Now onto the TTT, and yeah, it'd be a major disappointment if we don't win that one given the startlist. However, we've never won one so far, and we all know that TTTs sometimes yield "surprising" results ^^
Thanks for the report, was nice to read except for the final kilometers

Thanks for the great reports Nemolito, very nice to read!
Two quite days for us, as excpected. The whole team except the ususal suspects was well positionned in S1 (and Itturia attentive in the front), and again in S2, with Nils Brun making a good show in the breakaway.
Now we have to try to not lose too much time tomorrow, and then, to the mountains!
Congrats Caja Rural and Tryg for the two first stages! |

Today I can be satisfied. Willwohl did what he was supposed to do, being on the Podium is great and not a reason to be dissapointed. Someday we'll grab our first win, I am sure. Let's hope the team could get some confidence back and we'll be able to see more good results at the next stages.
Thanks again for the report!

Lovely to see Gall just decide to give up the white jersey after one day and lose 2’30. Nice one mate.
Congrats Ignacio, a good start in the MG world it has been for you. Thanks for the report too!

Another 5th finish by Luchshenko. Also, Le Roux did very well in this stage. |

The first two stages navigated without alarm. Would have preferred Matte not lose time on S1 but that is really a quibble.
Tomorrow is the first TTT we have ever done where we didn't expect to be terrible. So lets hope we aren't.

We are taking part in quite a few C2 races, more than required, because our youngsters need experience and here are 8 of them just for that. However, I expected them to show some courage and join the breakaways and I was a bit surprised they didn't do that in the first 2 stages. Maybe they just getting their bearings and they'll be more active in the final 3 stages. Still, I was very pleased to see Bryan Fernando Mendoza finishing 21st in the 2nd stage and the team not finishing last in the TTT stage. I take those as good signs for the future.
Congratulations to the stage winners! It seems Jura is ready to crush its opposition.
Thank you very much for the excellent reports!

Congrats Fabianski on a massive win. This will surely be of huge impact of the overall GC.
I have to say - These long TTT's can really do something. Obviously they can destroy a race entirely if the top 10 is mostly from 1-2-3 teams, but it's a display of beauty with these screenshots and it makes the GC races very varied at times. Great job in the race creation and the report obviously.

What’s even more exciting than a team time trial?
I can think of a lot of things....
Congrats to Fabianski, this race looks set to be huge for them further cementing their position as thhe team to beat in CT.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

All things considered a pretty good TTT from us, We are no longer in contention to win the race but Potocki should be in with a shot of a top 10 still.
Decent stage from Thwaites yesterday as well!
Thanks for the reports!

And so begins the reign of the GIANTS.....
3rd is fine, like I said, it wasn't a full Glanbia TTT as we needed to bring some climbers. Losing time only to Stussi and a little bit to Warbasse is to be expected,
Fun few days ahead

Just catching up on this race.
Strange play on Stage 1 between Le Court and Croes, but boy did it almost pay off! Will never mind these against-the-grain tactics this year, especially with the extra TV time they bring. Plus another day in a KoM jersey always nice for the previously sprint focused outfit.
Le Court doing good work on Stage 2 to fight for the KoM.
And 9th in the TTT was quite nice as well as that aspect of the squad will build nicely in the next couple of years.
Overall, good start to the race and i continue to be pretty happy with the racing from T3A this year.

I had forgotten what it feels like if your team executes your plans to perfection, but today they surely did! I admit I was nervous pre-stage, knowing that TTT have often had strange results - but at least today I feel that positions 1-2-3 are pretty much in the order they should be according to the TT skills. I was fearing McCormick and Glanbia most for this stage, and they indeed were the strongest competitors.
Putting a 30s+ gap into everyone by taking our first ever TTT win (even our first ever TTT podium) is definitely amazing - this stage result alone is worth almost 30 points (including GC and U25 leading points), which confirms that it was a good decision to send all our big guns here.
From now on we'll have to control the race and defend our GC positions though, and I'm not quite sure whether it's a good thing or not that Aregger is in yellow in his first race for us. Normally that should mean that he's in a nice spot for stage 4, where positioning will be key ahead of the final hill, but I hope we won't screw up everything on the mountain stages then. I'm clearly not expecting a 1-2-3 in the GC, but not taking the win here would be a bad result.
By the way, I did neither spot Mäder's U25 jersey nor Rekita's TT NC shirt on the screenshot - I guess one might be hidden by the first rider, but at least one of them is missing... Any ideas, @Nemo?
Thanks for the report and the congrats, and hoping the team plays this well in the second half of the race now!

Still happy not being last as we would never be challenging for a GC win. Hopefully though we can pick up a stage win later.

That TTT is going to hurt us for sure. Vasyliv has a lot of making up to do now. Hopefully he can sneak back into the top 10.
Mudgway also had an excellent sprint for his first opportunity as a main sprinter. Really happy with 4th from him!
