Nice to see Ilan van Wilder in his second breakaway of the season already. Forgot Eggenberg was a young rider so was hopeful about the white jersey but not to be

Good to see Kelly try and get away, then to see Vanderpool delivering the TV time. Hoped Shaq would be in the Top15, rather than just outside, but nothing lost there really.
Lets keep up the breakaways boys and girl!

Not a bad start. 2 in the top 10. Happy with that! Good sprinting from both the sprinters and my GC guys stayed out of trouble. Very decent start!

Congrats to Pas Normal, great start for you! I admit that I wasn't a fan of the Prasad training (thinking it'd have been cheaper to just get a 78 sprinter from FA), but today's result definitely is a nice return on invest
Fun fact: in every race reported by red this season, a Tryg rider finished 2nd. I'll admit that the sample size of 2 isn't a lot, but I guess lief wouldn't be sad if that continued all season long
(on the other hand, I'd get really mad if my riders always just take 12th in your reports )

Feieresen (think I got that right, lot of e's in his name) finished strong but started too far back. Still 7th means points and hopefully he will get the timing right and get closer on one of these stages.
Good to see Warbasse finishing in the front third with both Granigan and Mostov near him. Not sure we need to be contributing to the chase on sprint stages.

Shame not to be in the break today, really should be every day. Intrigued by Nikiema being attentive at the sprints in the teens, will find out soon if he's just a bad sprinter or an active leader

Shaq Attack! Well, less an attack and more a very impressive 4th place! Huge result for the Jamaican!
And White in the break, with Kelly again unsuccessful. This race is going as well as i could have hoped!

Ah, right, Tachira was that race with funny sprint results
I'm not speaking about the top guys, they're fine (although they all don't have the greatest acc), but Kochetkov is quite a surprising name up there (Shaq beating Krieger as well, but still less so ^^)
Congrats to Lierse, always good if PCT teams steal points from CT opponents
And Guerao once again proves that you can have completely shit backups and still do well if only the sprint stat is fine ^^

Another top 10 for Nizzolo. Good start for him and the team. Hopefully the form can continue and even improve

Yes!
Two quite unexpected good results for us, we're very happy with Guerao who already succeed his tour. Now let's hope we can keep it one day more, and then that the climbing team will take the relay.
Congrats to the stage winners and thank you for the nice reports. |

Now we have our first podium finish on a stage. I am very happy with the result of Bauhaus, strong competition there and he still made the podium good job. Looking forward to the next stages though we most likely wont be able to repeat until the final itt.
Thanks for the report and congrats to the other ones on the podium!

I wonder how with at least 10 77+ sprinters we still have a 74 sprinter winning a stage and a 71 sprinter taking 2nd ^^ But yeah, we've often seen surprising sprint results in Tachira lately, probably the field is still a bit thin.
Sorry however for Colombini, Itami clearly seems to suffer from the "4th-best-sprinter curse", not even trying to participate
Congrats to Bianchi for their first win, and now onto the more interesting part

Krieger arrived here with the goal of winning the points classification. He started out well, did slightly worse the next day, and now has proved truly abysmal. I can only assume he suffered the ignomity of having his sprint blocked by slower riders in front of him. That suggests that maybe we would've benefitted from a slightly stronger leadout than poor Toby...

Would have hoped for a little better than 7th, 8th and 12th from the sprints from Feiereisen but didn't have quite the right combination of form and position. But based on this I think can get some good results when things break in his favor.
Need to minimize the time losses tomorrow as it is the one stage that really doesn't suit us.
Thanks for the reports.
