Pretty much the same way.
I'd recommend using the Advanced Editor.
Open STA_race and add a line for a new race. Just copy an existing one and change the race name to begin with. Also change the ID, and make sure not to change it to one which already exists.
Next, you need to add the stages in STA_stage.
Should be pretty self-explanatory if you have a look at it
Okej , but this is doable in Hannes Converter aswell?
I tried it a bit with with Hannes Coverter , but when i save the cdb file it gets alot bigger , just changing it to 1960 instead of 2008 , is that some fault or bug , or is there something wrong with the convertor ?
Ah tried to start the game and new carrer and nothings has changed with the year it stands 2008 still , i changed the date only , do i need to change something more on the file to change the year ? |

You can do it with Hannes Converter, yes. There's no problems with the size. Advanced Editor compres the DB, Hannes Converter doesn't - it doesn't matter, though.
About the year, well, if it's done right, all you need to change is GAM_config. You may also have to change it in Local.cdb (only works with Advanced Editor) which is in the My Documents/Pro Cycling Manager folder, but I doubt it. It should work without. |

Is there some kind of magic trick to copy and pasting, Crue?
I'm trying to copy information from one DB across to another using copy and paste. No matter how I try to do it, I can't.
The fields are not being recognized - so I end up with a load of info in just one box.
Any help here would be much appreciated. |

Are you using Excel to do that? Or the in-built interface? You can't do it with the in-built interface, but in Excel, it works just fine. |

Oh, Ok. Thanks.
Yep - I've been using the built in editor.
Not tried to use it with excel - how do you do that?

Hehe, in fact, the Advanced Editor was - to start with - only useable with Excel. However, later on, Eyolfur added the interface that you're using
To use it the 'old way' (or the best way, as I'd refer it to ), you need to open the table in FullEditor\Exports\NameOfYourDB\. All tables are in that folder (the .xml-files).
When saving, make sure to save it in .xml data format. Otherwise, it won't work when you import / export to CDB. |

Thanks, Crue.
Certainly alot easier using excel to edit.
Don't suppose you know anything about this do you.
I've added some frames on to the Divinity DB. Looks like this. Only problem is in career mode, the bottom 3 boxes seem to be non-selectable, ie, Orbea, De Rosa and Scott. Nothing happens when you hover the cursor over them.
But, in stage mode, everything's fine.
I'm thinking that there's some kind of limit in the DB on the amount of frames for career mode. Do you know if this is the case, or is it something different? |

Well, my only experience is the frames that I added to my game, but since I didn't add as many as you I've no idea really.
You could try downloading Eeyor's DB and have a look in it. As far as I remember, that DB is the one with most equipment added, and he had some problems with it as well. But he also came up with some solution to it.
So, if you download the Vuelta update, you can have a look in the .cdb and see what he's done with it. |

Good idea - didn't even think of that.
I'll take a look at it, as from what I remember there are alot of frames in that DB.
(Think I remember reading Eeyor's problem was linking teams to frames - the way the DB is set up you can only link a team to a frame maker and not an individual frame, so Eeyor ended up putting in the frames separately.) |

It could be that that was Eeyor's problem, but either way, he still managed to add a lot of equipment to his DB |

Try editing the names of the frame manufacturers. For instance, put CRC/Cervelo, and list all the frames under there. Saves space, and allows lots more frames to be added.

Think that's what I'll have to try and do.
Eyolfur says on the Cyanide forums that:
There are too much frames in your DB, so you can't hover the 3 frames out of the background. It doesnt work the same in stage mode and carreer mode but even if the page seems the same it is not the same interface.
The problem is a GUI problem, not a DB one and you cant fix it. Only 6 frames TM are allowed.
EDIT - Then again, the Giant had more than 6 boxes for equipment.
EDIT again - Actually, just realized it's not that big a deal. It's only on the equipment buying page - if you race in career mode all the frames show up.
