Very unfortunate that Ndayisenga seems to have lost his form recently. Great job to get into the breakaway, but what happens that he gets dropped so early? He should have been able to compete with the others for that stage win.
Uwi at least one or two groups too far behind to make any meaningful impact in the GC. Khederi and Vliegen as our two best riders of the stage is just weird But oh well. This will likely not make the biggest of differences in the grand scheme of things. Hopefully Fiedler does something good tomorrow. Should be an interesting battle for the GC win between Cosnefroy and Brändle.
Thanks for the report, Ulrich, you made the stage very easy to follow. Congrats jakstar on the rare 1-2, and with Andy Schleck as well! Very neat.

First Win of the Season!!!! What a way to do it!!! Schmitz and Schleck! WOW!!! Honestly didn’t think Schleck had it in him to get another result like this with his back up stats but he proved me wrong! Absolutely amazing ride from the boys!! Schultz with his second career win as well!
Absolutely amazing!!!

Uran hung back but slowly made his way forward. Unfortunately the time gain is not enough to get him into yellow and I cannot realistically say he'll surely beat Brandle by that much. Still, he'll get a good result out of this race which is amazing regardless.
Congrats Jakstar!

Unbelievable. Losing 1min on stage 1 was bad for Gesink, but finishing around 100th in this stage is beyond words. Gonna need to fire the guy who decided Howson was the team leader for today.
Anyway congrats on an awesome win Jakstar!

Not quite the stage I was expecting from my team with Cosnefroy finishing ahead of Borisavlejevic but he’s put himself in a great position to challenge for the GC win in tomorrows TT.
It’ll be an interesting battle tomorrow where one exception ride from one of the TTists could win them the GC tomorrow. Hopefully Cosnefroy’s energy stats can help him in the battle vs Brandle!
Thanks for another great report and looking forward to an exciting Stage 4!

Not what was expected at all, with Bernal and Gesink deciding to take the day off. Eddie did enough here to stay in contention for a podium finish. Looking at that top-10, tomorrow is going to be a complete die roll. Hopefully we can one of the lucky teams that benefit. By my calculations if eddie finishes 5th where he is now, that puts us on par with Philips, Sauber, Jura and depending on what happens tomorrow maybe Voyagin. Gonna be close. Good luck to everyone.
Thanks for the report!

Damn, BNZ and Strava with some CT domination
Zmorka still in sixteenth is nice. I hope he wins the final TT and is able to maybe catapult into the top-10. Come on Marlen, juan more time.
Thanks for the great detailed report again, Ulrich

Brilliant ride by Laengen! He keeps surprising. Admittedly, it makes his relatively poor first TT more difficult to swallow. Anderberg also with a stellar stage performance, having two riders in the lower end of the top 10. Suspect it will be difficult to keep both there after the final TT, but at least they have done the best they could, making this race suddenly looks decent instead of very, very poor, which was what I thought after the first stage
Congratulations to both CT teams, clever riding, and well done having enough energy left for the final kilometer. |

Really really poor ride there from Cosnefroy… Top 3 favourite and he finishes 16th to drop to 4th when he should have been a sure Top 2.
Ah well, 4th is better than what we expected going into the race so I can’t be too unhappy!
Thanks for the reports and great to finally see Dunbar performing well

Thank you for the report, UU!
Wel didn't have any TT legs here! Anderberg with a solid ride, but our other riders didn't quite have what we hoped for, neither here or on stage 1. To then still come away with 8th, 10th, and some minor GC placings, is good, and it also shows some kind of depth. A pity depth isn't really rewarded in C1-races
Big congratulations on the overall win, Eden! Dunbar with a huge ride just when the doctor ordered it. |

What
I think I’m having some kind of aneurysm because that report just had Dunbar winning the stage, the GC, points and white jersey. That can’t be right? I don’t even know what to say. What strange, alternate dimension have I fallen into where the most ideal scenario has become reality? I was half joking when I said he was riding for our season as it looked like that was it for us in PCT, and then he actually went and did it. That stage could have gone so many ways, unbelievable. My brain is too fried after reading that to calculate points and what not, I don’t think this makes us safe but it brings us that little bit closer. Commiserations to Aramco, Polar, Minions and Red Bull on the final stage as well.
Thank you for the reports Ulrich

Zmorka again not where I hoped him to be, but his third place on the day combined with a rather incredible 11th in GC and 2nd in points mean we score enough points to almost certainly promote. Amazing. Thanks for the superb reports as always, Ulrich, and a big congrats to Indosat for winning this important race!
