He is 100% polka dots chaser. And we all see he is good with that...but I am expected from him more Piepoli climbing..what ever mission he is marked to do in climbs...mission complited. |

Overrated: At this point Cavendish, come on the guy is still young and still there are alot of Brits (no offense to the Brits) who think he is already the best sprinter in Europe Also Hincapie, on the cobbles he's a real contender but a GC contender...
Underrated: Vansummeren, does tons of work and without him some breaks could make it, Steegmans, if it wasn't for Boonen or McEwen he could be the number 1 guy, maybe a transfer to a foreign team could do him some good?
Dwight K. Schrute: 'I'm not a hero. Im just a mere defender of the office. You know who is a hero? Hiro from Heroes. That's a hero. And Bono'.

I think Cunego is a bit overrated, I guess I'll be taking a beating from someone in here from saying it, but he's just not hit that same level he had when he won the Giro as couple of years. |

they don't hype him that much, but I agree, they over-hype every single brit. remember a week ago they were saying Wegelius can do top-30 in the Tour

I don't think anyone thinks he's a GC contender for Grand Tours. many did last year, though. what a laugh I had at that

very much agreed. on the flat, very few are better than him, he's such an engine...
JustinWK wrote:Steegmans, if it wasn't for Boonen or McEwen he could be the number 1 guy, maybe a transfer to a foreign team could do him some good?
don't think he's better than either, but I certainly think he's as good as Boonen as a sprinter. Boonen had one good sprinting season and because of that was hyped as a great sprinter, in my book. back in the youth ranks he used to be lead-out man for Vanlandschoot!!

I don't think he ever had that level. that year no one counted on him, so they let him go...so he got an advantage...which he then defended with tooth and nail...and succeeded |

Overrated: Yes, Thomas Dekker, if you believe cyclingnews.com that is. They see him as outsider for the win in Le Tour. As much as I'm a fan of him, I really think that's impossible this year and even the next year. |

i also think Goss is over-rated
@Heitmann; why do you think Bjarne Riis was over-rated, he was the only rider able to follow Indurain up the mountains (he may have been doped up, but it's still an acheivement)

It might be as a manager. Many Danes tend to think that Riis can do miracles (as a manager). |

I know Bjarne was a good rider, but Denmark honoured him when he won the tour in 1996. Every person in Denmark gave Bjarne their respect.
And what did he give us? - A big fat lie!
And he kept the secret for himself and his family for 11 years.
There were many young riders in Denmark who wanted to become the new Bjarne Riis, but how cool is it to have a guy, who is using drugs as an idol ?
I know i might be harsh, but that's just my opinion.

The brits that actually think he's the best are those who dont know much about cycling.
Yes, I over-hype him, but theres a limit and there are many better and more versatile. After all, Cavendish is pretty shit when theres any hint of a hill.
Underrated: Mad Kaggestad. ( Everyone hates him but he WON the Ringerike GP in 2002, thats like the best one day bike race when you forget about practically every other one day bike race.
