Jesus Herrada continues to prove himself a valuable signing, 4th on the first stage is an excellent result. Then he finished 17th on the second stage which is another very good result. I have hopes for him to finish high in the GC if he keeps his current form.
And finally Andrei Amador delivers a much expected stage victory. I hope we can handle the hills well and hopefully Amador can make a push for the GC on the next TT stage. Brenes remains a concern, but perhaps he finds his legs later in the season, following the example of his teammate Amador who took a while to heat up the engine. I am keeping my fingers crossed the team plays the rest of the stages well and we continue to fight for the yellow jersey.
HelloFresh and Kraftwerk Man Machine mean business, they are overwhelming in numbers up front. Congratulations, guys! I am still not backing out though.
Thank you, Cunego, for the preview and Ulrich for the reports! They're awesome! |

Not great for Glanbia. Martin needed to be higher in GC going into hills and TT.
Craddock needs to not lose time tomorrow and do a great TT.
Stage hunting might be our best bet here with our Time Triallers. Haas will fancy attacking in the hills too.
Top 10 not out of the question but looking shaky.
Glad to see Amador finally do it for DarkWolf

A Minions armada in the breakaway resulting in the KoM for Vansevenant, and then Haga going on the offensive and limiting his loss after being caught. Perhaps we belong in C2

Thought we had blown it when Costagli attacked 3 times in a row and was dropped but more amazing stuff from Tatarinov, backed up by Helme and Dulanjana puts Kraftwerk in a great position.
Dulanjana has a half decent TT and might end up our top rider depending on how the hills are ridden.
Thanks for the report Ulrich and congrats to DarkWolf.

Much better stage that from the team. Disappointing that we couldn’t take the win but 2nd, 3rd and Mas moving up to 3rd in the GC is a great result. TT will definitely prove interesting but if Mas stays close then that final stage could really suit him!
Great report once again and pretty good from the AI too.

Lietaer was presented as one of the stage favorites, but the course was definitely too hard

A shame Amador lost 10" on this stage, but it's not a catastrophe. Plenty of things (good or bad) could still happen until the end. Herrada was a bit tired on this stage but he still sits well positioned for a good GC place here. Very good to see Jorgenson and Jurado finishing in top 25 of the stage. That's a good sign for their development.
Congratulations Ulrich on the stage win and thanks for the report! |

Well done Ulrich, perfect race by McCormick
Solid day from Martin and Craddock. Craddock in particular has given himself a good chance to move up again in the TT.
I hope Cruz and Downey can be active in breaks next couple of days

1-2 in the KoM, Haga at the front ready to strike in the TT. If all my races were like this I'd be a lot happier.
Thanks and congrats Ulrich

Easy come Easy go
TBH if we can maintain the placing Kraftwerk have now I would consider this a successful race.
Congrats & thanks for another great report Ulrich.
Also congrats whitejersey, you have an iron grip on the Teams competition!

Been away for a couple of days, but wow, our first stage win for Tafjord!
We did NOT see that coming. Very happy for the guys and especially Pavlic.
Now getting Henao in to that top 10GC is our next goal.
Thank you for the reports Ulrich, top quality! |

The team took it easy today to recharge for the next stages as nothing was on the line here. Yet Rosas somehow sprints to a top 10!

Disappointing that Abdul Halil hasn’t been involved but hopefully that means energy conservation within the team for the final 2 stages!

5th and 8th isn't exactly what I had in mind for the sprint results
Hopefully Campenaerts can shine in the time trial tomorrow!
